Ohio State Buckeyes vs Northwestern Wildcats Predictions, Picks, Odds, and NCAA Football Betting Preview | November 5 2022

The Ohio State Buckeyes are crushing it. They have just improved to 8-0 overall this season following a 44-31 win over the No. 13 Penn State Nittany Lions in Week 9. They did not look all too good in that game, though, so the Buckeyes will look to have a much more even performance in Week 10 against the struggling Northwestern Wildcats, who are coming off a 33-13 road loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Check out our preview of this Ohio State vs Northwestern game in Week 10 of the 2022 college football season.

TV Broadcast: ESPN

Betting on the Ohio State Buckeyes (-38.5)

Record: 8-0 Overall / 5-0 Conference

Buckeyes J.T. Tuimoloau had a huge performance versus Penn State, as he collected six total tackles to go with two sacks and a couple of interceptions, one of which he took to the house for an Ohio State defensive touchdown. That does not bode well for Northwestern, who have been finding it difficult to move the chains and find the end zone this season. The Buckeyes are top 10 in the nation in both scoring defense and total defense, and Tuimoloau just showed everyone why. Offensively, the Buckeyes are even better, as they are the top-scoring team in the FBS.

The Over is 8-2 in Ohio State’s last 10 games overall.

Betting on the Northwestern Wildcats (+38.5)

Record: 1-7 Overall / 1-4 Conference

Northwestern has yet to find its way out of a dark tunnel since their 31-28 win back in August in their season opener against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. There aren’t simply a lot of things that Northwestern has been doing right this season. The Wildcats’ offense is nothing to write home about and their defense is getting repeatedly abused. While there is barely anything to get excited about Northwestern, quarterback Brendan Sullivan is trying to turn heads one start at a time. In his third start since leapfrogging Ryan Hilinski for the starting role, Sullivan has thrown four touchdowns against three interceptions. He had his first multiple-TD game this season versus Iowa.

Northwestern is 2-2 against the spread in its last four games overall.

Writer’s Prediction

Ohio State wins, 49-10.
