Betting on the Oklahoma State Cowboys (-1.0)
Record: 6-1 Overall / 3-1 Conference
Cowboys quarterback was not at his 100% when he led the Cowboys to a win against Texas. Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy revealed after the game that Sanders was dealing with an injury, but the QB still managed to throw for 391 yards and two touchdowns with an interception on 34/58 completions. With several days of rest between Weeks 8 and 9, Sanders should feel better when he takes the field in Manhattan this coming weekend. Also worth noting is the Cowboys’ defense that picked off Texas hotshot quarterback Quinn Ewers three times and limited him to just 19/49 completions.
Oklahoma State is 6-3-1 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats (+1.0)
Record: 5-2 Overall / 3-1 Conference
The Wildcats failed to take care of a double-digit lead and collapsed in last week’s loss to TCU. That should make Kansas State play much angrier this time around when it hosts the Cowboys. Kansas State’s normally stout defense should be able to provide resistance against the Cowboys’ attack. The Wildcats’ secondary is especially lethal, as the team is leading the Big 12 with nine interceptions. Offensively, Kansas State will rely on its explosive rushing attack that is averaging the most rushing yards per game this season among Big 12 teams. Deuce Vaughn is second in the conference too in rushing yards per game and had just burned rubber for 83 yards on the ground with a touchdown on 12 carries in the TCU game.
Kansas State is 5-4-1 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Oklahoma State wins, 33-27.
