Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady Predictions, Odds, and Betting Preview | PGA Golf Tournament May 24 2020

We have been starved for sports the past several weeks, so why not let middle-age males give the sports world a shot in the arm? We’re talking about the upcoming The Match: Champions for Charity, which features the tandem of Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning and Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady playing 18 holes for a good cause.

An estimated total of $10 million is expected to be raised by this event to be donated to the relief efforts in the fight against the coronavirus. No matter who wins in this match, it’s still a win for humanity.

Betting Preview for The Match II PGA Golf Tournament Featuring Peyton Manning (and Tiger Woods) vs Tom Brady (and Phil Mickelson) on May 24 2020

Where: Medalist Golf Club, Hobe Sound, Florida

When: May 24, 2020, 3 PM ET

Lines: View all Match II Betting Odds

TV Broadcast: TNT, TBS, truTV and HLN

Betting on Peyton Manning (-180)

Peyton Manning ended his NFL career on top, winning the Super Bowl in 2016, and since then, we haven’t heard much about winning from the five-time NFL MVP. There’s that ESPYs hosting gig which he killed in 2017, but that’s all we got from him since.

Manning definitely wants to score a victory now, as he, together with Tiger Woods, looks to whoop former football nemesis Tom Brady and his partner, Phil Mickelson. Although they are the favorites to win this match, Manning and Woods have chips on their shoulders, as Woods was beaten in 2018 by Mickelson in The Match I. And it’s not helping their egos a bit that Brady seems to be leading on the smacktalk scoreboard.

Manning is one of the most accurate quarterbacks ever in the NFL. As of this writing, Manning is seventh all-time in pass completion percentage, but can he be as sure-handed in golf? TopBet has given Manning odds of -120 to hit the fairway regulation on hole no. 1 and +120 to fail hitting his ball safely into the fairway.

Betting on Tom Brady (+150)

Brady is a winner, which you would know by simply looking at all the Super Bowl rings he has, which are four more than what Manning owns. And that appetite to win, whatever the setting is, is what’s going to drive Brady to be at his best when he shows up at the Medalist Golf Club this coming Sunday.  It’s no secret that star pro athletes have always liked playing golf. Take for example Michael Jordan. Brady? Well, he’s been around the game too for so long. He’s not even new to the idea of partnering with a legend, as he once formed a winning duo with Jordan that won an invitational tournament several years ago.

Brady also has the full confidence of Mickelson, who said that he’s witnessed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback put up a great performance on the golf course when least expected. Brady believes that he’ll be ready this Sunday, per Carmen Vitali of Buccaneers.com.

“I feel like in two weeks when we actually start, I’m going to be prepared. I know what I’m going against and hopefully after Phil and I win, they don’t go trying to change the rules on us or send the tapes into the NFL, I don’t know if Peyton can still do that now that he’s retired and try to change some of the rules to make it easier the next time.”

Writer’s Prediction

Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning show great chemistry, as they take down their rivals.
