FAVORITES

Scottie Scheffler (+450)

Coming off a runner-up finish at the 2023 PGA Championship, Scheffler will look to get back to his winning ways. Scheffler is 14/14 this season with 10 top 10s and 13 top 25s. He also has two wins. He has cracked the top 10 in three of his last four starts. Moreover, he is 2/3 with a runner-up finish in his career at Colonial Country Club.

Jordan Spieth (+1200)

After missing the cut at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship, Spieth rebounded with a T29 at the 2023 PGA Championship. He should still be viewed as a top contender even after a missed cut and a lukewarm finish, as he has five top 10s in 14 events this season, thus far. He also has a win at Colonial Country Club, having topped the 2015-16 DEAN & DELUCA Invitational.

Tony Finau (+1200)

On the hunt for his win No. 3 this season, Finau is coming off just a T72 at the 2023 PGA Championship, which ensured that he keeps his streak of made cut alive. Finau has not missed a cut since the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship back in November. He is also a career 7/7 at the Colonial Country Club, with a fourth-place finish there in last year’s edition of the Charles Schwab Challenge.

HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS

Kurt Kitayama (+6000)

Here’s what we said about Grillo in our 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge sleepers piece.

Although Grillo missed the cut at the 2023 PGA Championship, it’s still hard to discount the strong stretch of golf he had prior to that event at Oak Hill. Grillo had a top-25 finish in each of his three starts before the PGA Championship, including a pair of top 10s, with a T7 at the 2023 RBC Heritage followed by a T5 at the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta.

Emiliano Grillo (+8000)

Here’s what we said about Mitchell in our 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge sleepers piece.

Mitchell did not take part in the action down in Mexico, but prior to that, he cracked the top 10 with a sixth-place finish at the 2023 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. That was his fourth top 10 this season and sixth top 25. He is 13/16 this season with his best finish so far being a T4 at the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last February. Mitchell is also 3/3 with two top 10s in his career at Quail Hollow Club.

LONG SHOTS

Aaron Baddeley (+20000)

The 42-year-old Australian is 11/15 this season so far with two top 10s. In his last PGA TOUR start, he had a T23 at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.

Harry Hall (+20000)

The pro from England is 12/20 this season with two top 10s as well. He had a T7 at the 2023 Puerto Rico Open and a T19 more recently at the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta.

Writer’s Prediction

Jordan Spieth wins the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.
