Betting on Rafael Nadal (-325)

Nadal just keep on rolling in the French Open like he always does. Nadal assured himself of a slot in the quarterfinals when he beat Maximilian Marterer 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in the fourth round. As what the score suggests, it was more of a walk in the park for Nadal than what Schwartzman had to go through against Anderson. Nadal’s service game was fantastic in the fourth round, putting 65 percent of his first serves in and winning 70 percent of his first serve points. He was also able to convert five of 10 break chances opportunities. Nadal is simply on a different level than everyone else on the clay court, so it’s going to be hard to bet against him against Schwartzman, who, as mentioned earlier, has failed to beat the clay god in any of their past meetings.

Betting on Diego Schwartzman (+230)

Schwartzman has made it to the quarters of the French Open after a hard-fought match against Kenny Anderson, one that took almost four hours to complete. In the end, Schwartzman won, 1-6, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6, 6-2. Against Anderson, Schwartzman put 65 percent of his first serves in and won 69 percent of his first serve points. After losing in the first two sets of the match, Schwartzman dug deep and came back to win the game, thanks in part to his endurance. That said, it’s worth suspecting whether he has enough gas in his tank when he goes up against an all-time great like Nadal. If anything, facing Nadal is not new to Schwartzman, who met the clay court demigod five times before, though, he lost in all those matches. So far this year, Schwartzman is 11-6 on clay court matches.
