Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6)
With a slow and unimpressive start to the season, it seemed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were not going upward, however since quarterback Jameis Winston has been sidelined with a shoulder injury, the Bucs are winning games. Without Winston, the Bucs are 2-0 as they beat the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Now these are not impressive teams to be beating, but they are solid wins that will get this team going.
In their 30-20 victory over the Dolphins, backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was once again given the green light to throw all over another weak secondary. Fitzpatrick finished the day with 275 passing yards with 2 touchdowns and even nine rushing yards.
The veteran still has some left in the tank as he might want to add beating the Falcons to his resume. If Tampa Bay wants to continue their success, they must find a running game as the past two games have been poor performances on the ground.
Betting on the Atlanta Falcons (5-4)
The Atlanta Falcons are ready to get back to their normal ways as it showed throughout their win against the Seattle Seahawks Monday night. After their three game losing streak which saw losses against the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots, some were doubting if they will come back, well here they are.
The Falcons have won some pretty close games so far this season, but the end of it shows a happy Atlanta team that is continuing to know how to close out games. Quarterback Russell Wilson had plenty of opportunity to lead another game winning drive on Monday, but the Falcons defense stepped up and get the statement victory.
Even without star running back Devonta Freeman, the Falcons were able to get the offense going with Matt Ryan. The veteran quarterback known as Matty Ice connected on 19 of his 27 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Once the Falcons get their star running back again, this offense is going to be deadly.
Writer’s Prediction:
Atlanta is officially turning the corner around on the season as they will have a blowout victory against the low standards of the Tampa Bay Bucs. Watch out, here comes the Falcons ready to revenge their last season. Pick: Falcons (-10)
