The Tennessee Titans might be the quietest 5-2 team in recent memory. But here they are looking for their sixth win of the season in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs on the road after beating the lowly Houston Texans in Week 8, 17-10. The Chiefs are no Texans, though. Patrick Mahomes and company are also 5-2 and will have fresher bodies on Sunday as they just had their Week 8 bye. The last time they were on the field, the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers on the road, 44-23. Check out our preview of this Titans vs Chiefs game in Week 9 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (+12.0)
Regular Season Record: 5-2
The Titans gave Malik Willis the first start of his NFL career in the Houston game but he floundered against the Texans, going 6/10 for 55 yards without a touchdown and with an interception, But the Titans’ defense kept the team afloat – and of course Derrick Henry. There is a possibility that Willis gets another start this Sunday with Ryan Tannehill currently labeled questionable. That’s not a good sign for the Titans, but the Chiefs aren’t exactly great defensively, so that should give Willis hope. Plus, the Titans still have Henry, who rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries versus the Texans.
The Titans are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall.
Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (-12.0)
Regular Season Record: 5-2
The Chiefs’ loss to the Buffalo Bills did not break them down. Instead, Kansas City recovered right away by demolishing the 49ers just before a Week 8 bye. With plenty of time to rest, the Chiefs will be more than ready, physically, at least to take on a Titans team that might have its best player not in 100 percent form, with Henry taking on such a huge workload in Week 8. Henry’s 32 carries against the Texans are the most he’s had in a game since October of 2021. And if it is going to be Willis starting anew for Tennessee, that will make the Titans’ offenses more predictable for Kansas City’s defense.
The Under is 4-0 in the Chiefs’ last four games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Chiefs win, 28-20.
