A rematch of gigantic proportions is upon us, as UFC Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is set to defend his crown against Jon Jones this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
A lot has changed since their first fight in UFC 182, where Jones defeated Cormier via unanimous decision. Will DC successfully defend his title, or will we crown Jones as the new light heavyweight champ?
Let’s find out below what the experts have to say about this epic match as well as the four other fights on Saturday’s main card.

Fight | Prediction |
---|---|
Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones | Jones by Unanimous Decision |
Tyron Woodley vs. Demian Maia | Woodley by Unanimous Decision |
Cris Cyborg vs. Tonya Evinger | Cyborg by TKO in Round 4 |
Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone | Lawler by Unanimous Decision |
Even with a lengthy layoff, Steven Rondina of Bleacher Report is still picking Jon Jones (-250) to win his UFC Light Heavyweight showdown against reigning champion Daniel Cormier. He’s banking on Jones’ experience to be the main difference against Cormier (+190). Jones defeated Cormier via unanimous decision in their first clash at UFC 182 a couple of years ago. Cormier’s in fine form, though, so Rondina’s expecting this bout to go the distance with Jones winning via unanimous decision once again.

CBS Sports’ experts are unanimous in picking Tyrone Woodley and Cris Cyborg to win their respective championship fights on Saturday. Woodley is the betting favorite in his bout with Demian Maia, the first time that has happened in his last six fights. Woodley, who rose to prominence with his stunning knockout victory over Robbie Lawler last year, is pegged at -220 to win against Maia.
Cyborg (-1,200), on the other hand, has been on a tear, winning each of her last 18 fights in the past 12 years. Saturday’s fight against Tonya Evinger feels like a coronation, though, for Cyborg who will look to add the UFC belt to the Strikeforce and Invicta featherweight titles she held before. Cyborg will make mincemeat of the smaller Evinger (+700) who has never fought at the 145-pound limit in her 25 professional fights.
