Betting on the UNC Asheville Bulldogs (TBA)

With a three-game win streak, UNC Asheville is looking to extend their winning ways later tonight in Lawrence. Of course, that’s going to be easier said than done, considering that the Bulldogs are up against Big 12 favorite No. 5 Kansas.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 64-58 win Furman with MaCio Teague leading the way for UNC Asheville. Teague scored 22 points, including four three-pointers, to go with four rebounds and four assists. Teague and Ahmad Thomas are the Bulldogs’ top two guys, as they’re the only ones averaging in double figures scoring for the team thus far on the season.

They’re going to need help though against Kansas, which should have no problem exchanging fire, especially with its deep lineup not to mention the fact that the Jayhawks are playing at home. The Bulldogs are averaging 68.0 PPG.

More on Teague and Thomas, the duo has gone 20 of 41 from three-point region this year.

Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks (TBA)

After getting tripped up by Indiana in the season opener, Kansas has managed to string together four-straight victories, which includes its 65-54 win over Georgia last Tuesday.

The Jayhawks’ offense is humming right now, largely because of a deadly backcourt that features the trio of Frank Mason, Devonte Graham, and Josh Jackson, who also happens to be the team’s top three scorers, respectively. The triumvirate joined forces to score 48 points against Georgia. They should continue having a blast on offense against UNC Asheville, which is likely to get very few possessions later tonight.

The Bulldogs are just getting 29.2 rebounds per game with their top rebounder being the aforementioned 6-3 guard Thomson. The Jayhawks, on the flipside, are hauling down 39.8 boards each contest.

Kansas has among the most efficient offenses in the nation per KenPom. Com, where the Jayhawks rank eighth overall in points per 100 possessions.

Kansas is 5-5 ATS in its last 10 games at home.

Writer’s Prediction
