Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – NFL Week 8 2017

Prior to last season, the Denver Broncos had beaten the Kansas City Chiefs seven times in a row. But Kansas City swept the series last year, going 3-0 both straight up and against the spread (ATS). In Week 8, both squads are looking to halt a bit of losing streak, with Kansas really feeling the heat after holding a 5-0 record just two weeks ago. Once promising playoff futures are falling fast (although they are maintaining their grip on the AFC West) but a dominant win at home may put them back on track.

TV Broadcast: FOX

Betting on the Denver Broncos (3-3)

Point Spread: (+7)

The Denver Broncos are in need of a huge win as they have lost three of their last four games. A statement victory is necessary as Denver is slowly losing focus on their goal of recapturing the division again. As Denver enters this road game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver have lost four straight road games.

Denver might have a quarterback problem as quarterback Trevor Siemian is not getting the job as of late. The quarterback is completing just 63 percent of his passes for 1,471 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has thrown for less than one touchdown in four straight games as he has been able to lead Denver down the field in recent games.

The only thing that is keeping the Denver offense somewhat alive is the ground game of C.J. Anderson. The running back leads the way with 391 yards with one touchdown as Denver is averaging 114.5 yards per game. They might have one of the worst offenses in the game, but their defense is winning them games. The Denver defense is allowing 19.7 points per game and 258 total yards per game.

Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (5-2)

Point Spread: (-7)

The Kansas City Chiefs started the new season with one of the best performances in the NFL, claiming to be the team to beat, but have slowly fallen off that trend with back-to-back losses. With those losses, their lead in the AFC West is slowly going away as the Oakland Raiders are on the rise.

With returning back to Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs have won eight of their last 11 home games and hope to get back on track against a Denver Broncos team that looks completely lost on the team. One of the reasons why the Chiefs had their hot start was thanks to quarterback Alex Smith who has completed 72.4% of his passes for 1,979 yards, 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

When Smith has his successful games, the running game also exceeds in the process as running back Kareem Hunt is having an insane year. The Chiefs ground game is averaging 129 yards per contest as he leads the way with 717 total yards and four touchdowns.

Writer’s Prediction:

Denver does not have an offense, Kansas Does. Put the pieces together on who’s going to win this game. This is the game where Denver might be looking to replace starting QB Trevor Siemian. Pick: Kansas City Chiefs (-7)
