Betting Preview for the Denver Nuggets vs Miami Heat NBA Finals Game 3 on June 7, 2023

Where: Kaseya Center, Miami, FL

When: Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 8:30 PM ET

Line: Denver Nuggets (-1.5) vs. Miami Heat (+1.5) – view all 2020-21 NBA lines

TV Broadcast: ABC

Betting on the Denver Nuggets (-1.5)

Regular Season Record: 53-29

The Nuggets got a dose of reality on Sunday, as they suffered a 111-108 loss at home in Game 2 against Miami. There was just not enough support for Nikola Jokic, who scored 41 points and grabbed 11 rebounds with four assists but only got 18 points (7/15 FG) from Jamal Murray. It can get better the next time around for Murray and the others. After all, Denver has always been a juggernaut offensively this season. So far in the playoffs, the Nuggets are still shooting close to 50 percent from the field and over 38 percent from behind the arc.

The Nuggets are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 Wednesday games.

Betting on the Miami Heat (+1.5)

Regular Season Record: 44-38

The Heat don’t know the word quit. Down 15 points at one point in Game 2, the Heat clawed their way back and trounced Denver on the road for a huge victory that assured them of at least one win in the NBA Finals – contrary to what many expected would be a sweep for the Nuggets. The Heat’s outside shooting clicked, as they went 17/35 from the 3-point distance and also had plenty of chances on the foul line where they went 18/20. With the series headed to South Beach, the Heat should be feeling good about their odds to go back-to-back.

The Heat have covered the spread in eight of their last 10 home games and are also 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games after a victory.

Writer’s Prediction

The Nuggets win, 118-110.
