TV Broadcast: TNT

Betting on the Phoenix Suns (+4.5)

Regular Season Record: 45-37

The Suns got destroyed in Game 1 by Denver, as they suffered a 125-107 loss. Phoenix is certainly a much better team than what that score suggests, so look for the Suns to come up with a better performance this Monday. Kevin Durant paced the Suns with 29 points in the series opener, but he lost possession of the ball numerous times. Devin Booker had 27 points on 10/19 shooting but was a minus-18 by the end of the contest. Phoenix should be able to hit back harder in Game 2, considering that a 0-2 hole against the No. 1 seed in the West is never going to be an ideal spot for the Suns.

The Suns are 5-2 against the spread in the last seven games as the road team in Denver.

Betting on the Denver Nuggets (-4.5)

Regular Season Record: 53-29

Jamal Murray was HIM in Game 1, as he fired 34 points on 13/24 shooting to lead the Nuggets to a big win. Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic contributed 24 points, 19 rebounds, and five assists. The 1-2 punch of Murray and Jokic proved to be too hot to handle for the Suns, and that could be the case again in Game 2, especially if the other Nuggets make it harder for Phoenix to focus on the duo. Aaron Gordon had 23 points and six rebounds in the series opener, while Michael Porter Jr. and Bruce Brown combined for 25 points. Denver also had 16 3-pointers in Game 1 to only seven by Phoenix.

The Nuggets are 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Nuggets win, 116-110.
