Brendon Todd
[sc:Golf240banner ]Brendon Todd captured the imagination of golf fans everywhere with a stirring victory in the Byron Nelson Championship last year. He shot a four-under-par 66 in the final round to win the event by two shots over Mike Weir. It was a fantastic victory for Todd who shot all four rounds in the 60s. It was the American’s first PGA Tour win in 77 starts.
He has carried that excellent form into this season, finishing in the top-10 in three of his 13 starts. His best finish this year came at the RBC Heritage where he ended up in solo fourth with a 15-under-par total of 269. That lethal combination of form and experience will be a huge advantage for Todd heading into the Byron Nelson this week. He is pegged at +3,500 to win his second consecutive Byron Nelson title.

Gary Woodland
One golfer who can definitely surprise this week is American Gary Woodland. The 31-year-old is one of the hottest players on the PGA Tour, finishing in the top-5 in two of his last three starts. He finished second at the WGC Match Play last month, losing to Rory McIlroy in the final, before tying for fourth at the Wells Fargo a couple of weeks ago.
Key to Woodland’s resurgence this year has been his phenomenal driving. He is 10th in the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 303.2 yards per drive. That will come in handy when tackling the 7,166-yard, par-70 Las Colinas course. Woodland has had some form of success in this tournament before, making five of six cuts here including finishing seventh at this event last year.
With the form that he is in right now and his experience with this difficult course, Woodland has an excellent chance of ending his long title drought this weekend. He is pegged at +2,500 to do just that.
Brandt Snedeker
It’s great to be Brandt Snedeker (+2,000) nowadays. After enduring a year and a half of mediocre golf, the American has finally rediscovered the form that made him the fourth-ranked player in the world before. He has recorded two top-two finishes on the PGA Tour this year, grabbing victory at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am last February before finishing second at the Crowne Plaza Invitational a week ago.
Key to Snedeker’s renaissance has been his hot putting. He is ninth in the PGA Tour in one-putt percentage with a solid 43.43 percent clip. That will be a major weapon when dealing with the tough, undulating greens of the TPC Four Seasons. If he can get his putter going this week, Snedeker has a great chance of bagging his first ever Byron Nelson title.
