Manchester City vs. Liverpool (12:30 PM ET)
After getting eliminated in the Champions League by Monaco in midweek, Manchester City now have to focus on maintaining their top-3 spot to secure automatic qualification for next year’s competition. A home win over key challenger Liverpool will definitely help in that regard.
However, Liverpool have a way of picking up positive results in these big games. They recently beat both Tottenham and Arsenal over the past month, taking their record against the rest of the top-6 to a very impressive four wins and four draws in eight matchups. That includes a 1-0 win over City at Anfield.
It’ll be tough to pull the double on Pep Guardiola, but Liverpool should still come away from the Etihad with a positive result.
Writer’s Prediction: Liverpool maintains its unbeaten record against top-6 foes. Take the Reds at +0.5 on the Asian Handicap.
Middlesbrough vs. Manchester United (8:00 AM ET)
Middlesbrough have finally lowered the axe on manager Aitor Karanka, who was unable to prevent the Teesside club from falling into the relegation zone. Boro are winless in their last 10 Premier League matches, and have failed to score a single goal in six of eight.
But as Leicester have shown recently, that new manager bump is a real phenomenon, and it could very well manifest itself immediately against a weakened Manchester United that’ll be missing three key players in Ander Herrera, Zlatan Ibrahimovic (both suspended), and Paul Pogba (hamstring injury).
Writer’s Prediction: Middlesbrough gets at least a point against United. Take Boro at +0.5, +1 on the Asian Handicap.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Southampton (10:15 AM ET)
Tottenham have been nearly untouchable at White Hart Lane this season. They’re unbeaten in 14 games (12-2-0) and have won their last nine league games in a row. They will be without top scorer Harry Kane for the next couple of months, which will blunt their attack. But they do have players capable of stepping in.
Speaking of attacks, Southampton’s is on quite a roll. The Saints have scored a whopping 10 goals over their last three games, and four in each of their last two away games. However, facing a formidable Spurs back line in White Hart Late is an entirely different proposition to facing Sunderland and Watford.
Writer’s Prediction: Southampton is capable of ending Tottenham’s home win streak, especially with Spurs missing Kane. Take the Saints at +0.5, +1 on the Asian Handicap.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Arsenal (8:30 AM ET)
West Brom have been stuck on 40 points for a while now. Tony Pulis’ side has lost back-to-back league games for the first time since Boxing Day, and also hasn’t been able to score a single goal in either of those games.
They’ll be a decent bet to do so at the Hawthorns, and against an Arsenal side which doesn’t keep too many clean sheets away from home. (They’ve had just one in their last nine Premier League away games.) But the Gunners will be gunning for that top-4 spot, and should have too much for the slumping Baggies.
Writer’s Prediction: Arsenal (-158) score a 2-1 away win.
Crystal Palace vs. Watford (11:00 AM ET)
Big Sam Allardyce is finally starting to work his magic with Crystal Palace. The Eagles have won three of their last five games to climb out of the relegation zone. Bringing in Mahamadou Sakho has paid immediate dividends, as they’ve kept consecutive clean sheets for the first time this season.
Even with a lengthy injury list, though, Palace should still have enough playmakers on their side in Christian Benteke, Andros Townsend, and Wifried Zaha to break down a woeful Watford side that’s lost seven of their last nine away games.
Writer’s Prediction: Crystal Palace (-123) gets the 1-0 home win over Watford.
Everton vs. Hull City (11:00 AM ET)
Hull picked up a valuable three points at home against fellow relegation strugglers Swansea to nudge themselves a spot higher in the table. However, expecting to get even a point from their trip to Everton will be wishful thinking given Hull’s horrific record away from home. The Tigers have lost 11 of their last 12 away matches.
Everton, on the flipside, have won their last five at home, winning all five by at least two goals. Despite the recent rumblings concerning star striker Romelu Lukaku’s future at the club, the Toffees should be able to take care of business against the Tigers.
Writer’s Prediction: Everton get another comfortable 2-0 home win. They should provide better value at -1 in the Asian Handicap.
Stoke City vs. Chelsea (11:00 AM ET)
Stoke gave everyone a reminder of just how tough they can be to break down as they held Man City to a single shot on target in their goalless draw at the Etihad last week. The Potters have also proven to be very formidable away from home. They’re unbeaten in their last eight home games (four wins, four draws), and have conceded just four goals during that span.
It’ll take another monumental defensive effort to keep leaders Chelsea out of the scoresheet. The Blues have only been blanked once all season (away to Tottenham), so they’ll likely get their goal. But Stoke should be able to make them work very hard for it.
Writer’s Prediction: There won’t be many goals in this one, if any. Take the total to go UNDER 2.5 goals.
Sunderland vs. Burnley (11:00 AM ET)
Burnley are running out of away matches to get that much-awaited first win outside of Turf Moor. However, they’re getting close. They drew at Hull; they came so close to winning at Swansea; and they made Liverpool work very hard for a 2-1 win at Anfield. If there’s ever a team they should be able to beat away, it’s bottom-club Sunderland. They’ve already beaten the Black Cats twice this season, both at home: 4-1 in the league and 2-0 in the FA Cup
Sunderland are winless in their last six at the Stadium of Light, and haven’t even scored a single goal in four of those six games. But they’ll be in desperation mode in this matchup against a team they have a great shot at beating, and will likely throw everything they have to pick up the three points.
Writer’s Prediction: Sunderland (+133) secures a crucial 1-0 home win.
West Ham United vs. Leicester City (11:00 AM ET)
Speaking of teams still winless away from home, Leicester are still in search of their first away win of the season. But they’ll be absolutely flying after three straight home wins under new boss Craig Shakespeare, including a famous 2-0 win against Sevilla to see them through to the Champions League quarterfinals.
West Ham have been in poor form of late – they’re winless in their last six home games – which makes them a prime target for the Foxes to snatch that much-awaited away win.
Writer’s Prediction: Leicester (+195) finally get that away win, 2-1.
Bournemouth vs. Swansea City (1:30 PM ET)
Bournemouth and Swansea are both fairly inconsistent, so it’ll be tough to pick a winner between the two of them. But there will almost surely be goals when their respective porous defenses meet. Bournemouth have conceded at least two goals in their last six home games, and Swansea have conceded at least two goals in seven of their last eight away.
Writer’s Prediction: Take the total to easily fly OVER 2.5 goals in this one.
