Saturday, April 1

Liverpool vs. Everton (7:30 AM ET)

Liverpool are back to picking up some positive results this month. The Reds are unbeaten in three games this March, with home wins over Arsenal (3-1) and Burnley (2-1), as well as a 1-1 draw at Man City prior to the international break. Jurgen Klopp’s side have been simply sensationa at Anfield this season. They’re 10-3-1 at home, and are undefeated in 21 of their last 22 home Premier League games.

That type of home dominance has extended to the derby against Everton, where Liverpool are undefeated in their last 18 home games against their noisy neighbors. Everton have been in impressive form themselves, as they’ve gone unbeaten in 11 out of their last 12 in the league. However, they’ve been nowhere near as impressive away as they’ve been at home.

Writer’s Prediction: Liverpool (-153) once again get the better of Everton as they steal a 2-1 home win.

Manchester United vs. West Bromwich Albion (10:00 AM ET)

Manchester United extended their impressive unbeaten run to 18 games with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough prior to the break. However, Jose Mourinho will have a bit of a selection headache in this match against West Brom. Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Paul Pogba are all out due to injuries, while Ander Herrera and top-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both still serving suspensions.

Despite their impressive 3-1 home win over Arsenal, West Brom don’t look like a legitimate threat to end United’s unbeaten run at Old Trafford. West Brom have won just three away games all season. And while United have dropped some key points at home this season (6-7-1), they still have enough quality to beat the pesky Baggies.

Writer’s Prediction: United (-1, -1.5) deliver an important 2-0 home win.

Burnley vs. Tottenham Hotspur (10:00 AM ET)

Everyone knows all about Burnley’s brilliant home form. All nine of the Clarets’ wins this season have come at Turf Moor, where they are also unbeaten in their last six games. Despite their rotten run of no wins in their last seven games in all competitions, they should still make things very difficult against Tottenham.

Spurs have been unbeatable at White Hart Lane this season, but they just haven’t been able to get the wins they need away from home. They’ve drawn six of their 13 away games this season, and they will have a hard time taking all three points against a resolute Burnley defense without star striker Harry Kane.

Writer’s Prediction: Burnley hold Tottenham to another away draw, 1-1 (+250).

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace (10:00 AM ET)

After suffering some injury scares to their players during the international break – most notably to stars Eden Hazard and Diego Costa – Chelsea should be pretty close to 100 percent to face Crystal Palace at home. Stamford Bridge has been an absolute fortress this season. They’ve won 12 of their 13 home games, and have scored at least 2 goals in nine of their last 10.

However, a resurgent Palace side could cause Chelsea some problems. Sam Allardyce’s side have won three games in a row, and have kept a clean sheet in every single game. Mamadou Sakho has been a rock in the center of the Palace defense, and will provide stiff resistance to Costa and co.

Writer’s Prediction: Chelsea pull off a hard-fought 2-1 home win, but Crystal Palace cover the +1.5 handicap.

Hull City vs. West Ham United (10:00 AM ET)

Hull are still in the middle of a relegation dogfight, and if they’re to get out of it, they’ll have to rely on their home form. They’ve been impressive at the KCOM in recent months as they’ve gone five games unbeaten (three wins, two draws). One of those wins was of course their big 2-0 scalp of Liverpool.

Three points will be there for the taking for the Tigers against West Ham, which has now lost three league games in a row. However, the Hammers have lost just twice in their last eight games away from home, and will not be ready to lie down for Hull.

Writer’s Prediction: West Ham deny Hull a much-needed win as the two battle to a 1-1 draw (+215).

Leicester City vs. Stoke City (10:00 AM ET)

Leicester City’s remarkable revival continues. The defending champs have won all four matches under new boss Craig Shakespeare. They even got their first away win of the season prior to the international break as they beat West Ham, 3-2. Their previous three wins were all at home, and all were by a two-goal margin.

The champs should stand a very good chance of making it five wins out of five against a struggling Stoke team that’s won just one of their last seven away league games and failed to score in their last three.

Writer’s Prediction: Leicester (-104) roll along with a 2-0 home win.

Watford vs. Sunderland (10:00 AM ET)

Watford are in need of a victory after going winless in their last four games (three losses, one draw). They coughed up four goals in their last home game to Southampton, which is obviously not great. But the Hornets will be at home against bottom-club Sunderland, so a win is a definite must.

Sunderland have lost six of their last seven away games in the league, and have failed to score in six of their last seven games overall. The Black Cats are running out of games to save themselves, but they don’t seem to have the quality in their side to survive.

Writer’s Prediction: Watford (-134) inflicts more damage on Sunderland as the Hornets grab a 1-0 home win.

Southampton vs. Bournemouth (12:30 PM ET)

Southampton have had some impressive showings in recent weeks, which included back-to-back four-goal performances against Sunderland and Watford. However, the man largely responsible for that good run – striker Manuel Gabbiadini – is a major doubt to feature against Bournemouth, which will be a big blow for the Saints.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are starting to put things together after a rough two-month stretch. The Cherries have won back-to-back home games, and prior to that, held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. However, their away form this season (2-3-9 with 31 goals conceded) doesn’t inspire a ton confidence.

Writer’s Prediction: Southampton and Bournemouth have a 1-1 stalemate (+275) at the south coast derby.

Sunday, April 2

Swansea City vs. Middlesbrough (8:30 AM ET)

Swansea are still not out of relegation danger, as they did themselves no favors by suffering two away losses to Hull and Bournemouth. The Swans badly need a win to pull away from the relegation zone, and they’ve got the perfect matchup to grab that much-needed victory.

Middlesbrough will be playing their first game since sacking manager Aitor Karanka. But even with the managerial change, Boro’s big problem is they just don’t seem to have the attacking quality to score any goals. They’ve failed to score in six of their last seven away league games, and have gone winless in their last 13 away from home.

Writer’s Prediction: Swansea (-118) sink Middlesbrough, 2-0.

Arsenal vs. Manchester City (11:00 AM ET)

How low can Arsenal go? The Gunners already find themselves in sixth after losing four of their last five in the league, and could fall even further behind the top five if they fail to beat Manchester City. Arsenal’s home form has at least been fairly reliable. They’ve won six of their last seven games at the Emirates, and are unbeaten in their last five at home against Manchester City.

But City will be a tough test for the Gunners, especially with Pep Guardiola’s side playing much better recently. They have now gone seven games unbeaten in the league (four wins, three draws) and have the attacking weapons to beat Arsenal at their own game.

Writer’s Prediction: City (+111) finally steal one at the Emirates as they beat Arsenal, 2-1.
