He has been playing some solid golf of late, grabbing top-10 finishes in three of his last five starts, including a thrilling playoff victory at last month’s Australian Open. That being said, it won’t be smooth sailing for the two-time major champion this coming weekend.
According to Porter’s colleague Robby Kalland, it is Hideki Matsuyama who will take home the crown this weekend. The Japanese star has been on fire, winning three of his last four starts, including the prestigious WGC-HSBC Champions tournament last October. Matsuyama will be desperate to make amends for his atrocious last-place finish in this event last year. He is pegged at +700to win the title this week.
