There is money to be made at TPC Deere Run. The John Deere Classic boasts a total purse of $4.8 million, with a hefty $864,000 of that pot going to the eventual winner. That’s excellent news for the 156-man field considering the total payout last year amounted to only $4.7 million.
To put into perspective the difference in prize money, defending champion Jordan Spieth earned $846,000 in this golf event last year.
