2016 NCAA Football Week 12 Sleepers Predictions
Northern Illinois Huskies vs. Eastern Michigan Eagles
Where: Rynearson Stadium, Ypsilanti
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 16, 8:00 PM ET
Line: Northern Illinois Huskies (-4) vs. Eastern Michigan Eagles (+4) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
Wise bettors have been milking money off Eastern Michigan this season. And if you’re just knowing that now, it’s still not too late to ride the bandwagon. See, the Eagles are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games, which includes their 48-41 win over Ball State last week as one-point underdogs. Speaking of them being underdogs, the Eagles are a pure 6-0 ATS in the last six outings in which they were one. Northern Illinois appear to be creaky with starting quarterback Anthony Maddie declared out for the season with a hairline fracture in his leg and he could be in for a long day this Wednesday, playing in enemy territory against an EMU defense that has eight interceptions on the season.
Prediction: Eastern Michigan (+4) wins, 27-21.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs. UCF Knights
Where: Bright House Networks Stadium, Orlando
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 16, 8:00 PM ET
Line: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (-1) vs. UCF Knights (+1) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
The Knights are heading to an encounter with Tulsa on the heels of back-to-back wins over Tulane and Cincinnati, respectively. They’re bowl eligible by the way, which is a huge development for a team that failed to win a single game last season. Tulsa offers a different and tougher challenge for the Knights, however, as the Golden Hurricanes are 12th in the nation in scoring, averaging 42.0 PPG. That’s going to be a handful even for UCF’s defense that is limiting foes to only 20.6 PPG. Still, don’t underestimate UCF’s ability to cover. After all, the Knights are 3-0 in their last three as underdogs and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 overall.
Prediction: UCF (+1) wins, 28-27.
Arkansas State Indians vs. Troy Trojans
Where: Troy University Veterans Memorial Stadium, Troy
Date and Time: Thursday, November 16, 9:30 PM ET
Line: Arkansas State Indians (+8.5) vs. Troy Trojans (-8.5) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
Troy is among the hottest teams in the nation today, as it has won all of its last seven games. The Trojans only have one loss on the season and that was a surprising close 30-24 loss to then No. 2 Clemson as 34.5-point underdogs. Arkansas State also knows a thing or two about covering spread as a ‘dog. In fact, it has gone 5-0 ATS in all of its past five outings against chalks.
Prediction: Troy (+8.5) wins, 31-25.
