2016 NFL Week 8 Fantasy Sleepers

Alex Smith – Quarterback, Kansas City Chiefs

Smith’s chances should be good against the atrocious defense of the Indianapolis Colts, who have given up 1,968 passing yards this season (28th in the league), while also allowing QBs to complete 67.7-percent of their passes. The Colts have the fewest INTs in the league, with two.

Matt Asiata – Running Back, Minnesota Vikings

Asiata had 12 carries for 55 yards and six receptions for 25 yards last week, and it could be increased this Sunday, with Jerick McKinnon having knee issues. He could have a big game against the Bears’ 17th-ranked ground defense.

Quincy Enuwa – Wide Receiver, New York Jets

The Jets’ number two pass-catcher has five games with 50 or more receiving yards, and is fresh off a game where he caught a 69-yard TD pass. This Sunday, he will be running routes facing the winless Browns, one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. In six of the seven games this season, the Browns have allowed a WR or a TE to exceed the 100-yard plateau, and has given up 18 passing TDs, which is tied for worst in the NFL.

CJ Fiedorowicz – Tight End, Houston Texans

Fiedorowicz is playing behind the shadows of teammates DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, but he has 19 receptions for 229 yards (12 yards per catch) in his last four. He’s also going up against the Detroit Lions defense that is ranked 30th in passing TDs and fantasy points allowed among tight ends.

Josh Lambo – Kicker, San Diego Chargers

Lambo is only 38 percent owned in ESPN and 48 percent in Yahoo, but it looks like it’ll increase as the weeks go by. In standard scoring leagues, the second-year kicker has 11 or more points in four of his last five games. He can have his fifth this Sunday against the Broncos, who are giving up the eighth most fantasy points to kickers.

Oakland Raiders Defense

The Raiders are currently the NFL’s worst in giving up yards (430.4 per game), while also being 22nd in points allowed (25.6 per game), but they have only permitted 26 total points in the last two weeks. They’ll look to have another strong performance against the Bucs, who are sixth-worst in giving up fantasy points to defenses.
