Bleacher Report

Expert Predictions
Brendan O’Meara Winner – Brad Keselowski
Dark Horse – Ryan Newman

Bleacher Report‘s Brendan O’Meara picked the logical choice to win in Kentucky: Brad Keselowski. No. 2 has won two of the five races in Kentucky Speedway in the Sprint Cup, and won three more during the Xfinity Series. He finished 33rd back in 2013, but other than that, he’s finished seventh or better in the four other races. Keselowski will also be in red-hot form entering this race. He’s finished inside the top 10 in seven of the last eight races.

Meanwhile, O’Meara offers up Ryan Newman as his dark horse pick. He notes how well Newman has fared in Kentucky. He finished third in 2014, his second career top-5 finish at the track. At +6,000 to win, Newman is certainly worth a shot.

Fox Sports

Expert Prediction
Chad Robb Winner – Joey Logano

Fox Sports fantasy NASCAR expert Chad Robb is putting his money on +650 front-runner Joey Logano to win in Kentucky. Robb astutely points to out that the rules package to be implemented in Kentucky were used in two other races – the Sprint All-Star Race and in Michigan. Not so coincidentally, Logano won both of those races. He was especially domiant in Michigan, as he led 138 of the 200 laps. Logano has yet to win in Kentucky, but he finished fourth in 2013, and second last year.

Fantasy Racing Cheat Sheet

  1. Kyle Busch
  2. Brad Keselowski
  3. Martin Truex Jr.
  4. Joey Logano
  5. Kevin Harvick

Jeff Gutowski of Fantasy Racing Cheat Sheet has put +550 favorite Kyle Busch atop his top 5 for Kentucky. Gutowski notes how Busch has excelled at the track since the inaugural race back in 2011, which Busch won. He also won last year, and has finished in the top 5 in four of the five races.

Busch looks set to finally put his recent poor run of form behind him. After finishing seventh in Sonoma, he grabbed the runner-up spot in Daytona last week.

Gutowski is also bullish on Martin Truex Jr., who is one of the top contenders at +650 to win. Truex owns two top-10 finishes in Kentucky, and excels in the intermediate-length tracks. He was outstanding in the intermediate track in Charlotte, which is where he claimed his lone win of the season thus far.
