Paul Casey

Looking for a worthy sleeper this week? How about Paul Casey? The Englishman is starting to find his form, putting together back-to-back top-10 finishes in his last two starts. He nabbed a seventh-place finish at the WGC-Cadillac Championship earlier this month before sealing aT9 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational just last week.

Casey will fancy his chances of extending that excellent form this week as he has fared extremely well in this tournament in the past. He finished runner-up at the 2009 and 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, losing to Geoff Ogilvy and Ian Poulter in the finals, respectively. That experience in this seldom-used match play format will prove crucial for Casey as he attempts to win his first PGA Tour title this year.

Kevin Na

If there’s one golfer primed for a breakthrough win at the Dell Match Play Championship this week, it’s got to be Kevin Na. The American has had plenty of close calls this year, finishing second or third in four of his first 11 events this season.

Key to Na’s resurgence this season has been his stellar play from tee to green. He is 14th in the PGA Tour in strokes gained in that particular department with an impressive 1.119 average. That will come in handy when tackling the 7,073-yard, par-71 Austin course.

Louis Oosthuizen

2016 WGC Dell Match Play Sleeper Picks / Predictions

One golfer who can definitely make a run at the title this week is Louis Oosthuizen. He has been on fire to start the season, grabbing five top-15 finishes in his last six starts. Oosthuizen notched his eighth European Tour win in Perth last month, shooting a 16-under total of 272.

The South African has had some success in this tournament in the past as well, reaching the quarterfinals of the WGC-Match Play in each of the last two years. He loves playing in this kind of format as evidenced by his going undefeated in the Presidents Cup last year. With the form that he is in right now and his experience with this match play format, expect Oosthuizen to go deep in this tournament this week.
