New England Revolution vs. Minnesota United (2:00 PM ET)

The New England Revolution are still looking for their first points of the season. The Revs have lost their first two games, both of which have come on the road. They’ll have a golden opportunity to pick up some much needed points against the expansion team Minnesota United.

MUFC finally picked up their first points in franchise history with a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids. But with a defense that’s already conceded 13 goals in three games, as well as six regular starters missing, their chances of coming away with anything against on the road against a Revs team increasingly desperate to get a win aren’t particularly high.

Writer’s Prediction: The Revs (-285) hand Minnesota another defeat as they get a comfortable 2-0 home win.

New York Red Bulls vs. Real Salt Lake (4:00 PM ET)

New York was rocked 3-1 by the Seattle Sounders on the road, which snapped their 100 percent start to the season as well as their 18-game unbeaten run dating back to last season. But there’s no shame in losing in Seattle, which is always a very tough place to play in.

The Red Bulls should have the perfect matchup to bounce back against as they host a banged up Real Salt Lake side that’s still winless in its first three games (one draw, two losses) and has scored just a single goal.

NYRB have gone undefeated in their last 15 home games (13-0-2), outscoring opponents by a whopping 33-10.

Writer’s Prediction: The Red Bulls (-240) beat Real Salt Lake, 3-1.

Columbus Crew vs. Portland Timbers (7:30 PM ET)

This rematch of the 2015 MLS Cup final will see both Columbus and Portland coming off impressive wins. Columbus got its first win of the season as it beat a struggling DC United, 2-0, in Washington, while Portland continued its hot start with a 4-2 win over Houston at home. The Timbers are the lone remaining team with a 100 percent record in the league with 10 goals scored and 3 conceded.

Diego Valeri (4 goals) and Fanendo Adi (3 goals) have started the season in sizzling form, and will look to deal the Crew a rare home defeat. Columbus has lost just twice in their last 17 regular season home games (6-2-9).

Writer’s Prediction: The Timbers (+215) take down the Crew, 2-1.
