The Total Payout

There will be no changes in the prize money payout of the Masters this year with the tournament’s total purse standing pat at $10 million. That figure isn’t shabby one bit with the champion bagging a cool $1.8 million this coming weekend. Apart from that million-dollar top prize, the winner will also grab 600 FedEx Cup points this week.

Finishing second in this major event ain’t that bad either with the runner-up receiving a payout of $1.08 million. This is one of the few golf tournaments wherein the second place finisher (barring no ties) still gets a seven-figure sum. On the other end of the leaderboard, the 50th or so golfer to make the cut this week will earn around $25,200. Even those who miss the 36-hole cut will still get $10,000.
