In the wake of another captivating edition of The Masters, the PGA Tour takes somewhat of a backseat with the 2017 installment of the RBC Heritage. We won’t find many of the Tour’s more coveted names this week at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina, but that doesn’t mean that another round of thrilling golf betting action is at hand.
Let’s take a look below at the relatively unheralded golfers who should be able to capitalize on the aftermath from Augusta.

Matt Kuchar (+900)
Hot off an impressive T4 finish at Augusta – largely thanks to a stunning hole-in-hole on the 16th hole of The Masters’ final round – Matt Kuchar is undoubtedly the one name worth keeping an eye on this week at Harbour Town.
There are few golfers in this week’s field that could compare to Kuchar’s resumé at the RBC Heritage as well. He has five-career top-10 finishes at the tournament with three of them coming in the last three years, including his victory in 2014 and a solid fifth in 2015.
Russell Henley (+2,000)
Russell Henley’s having quite an April to say the least. The Georgia product won in Houston before notching a career-best 11th-place finish at The Masters.
Henley now has three top-10 finishes in his last four starts and eight top-25s for the season mainly because of his solid putting game. He’s currently sixth on the Tour in strokes gained: putting, and his form on the greens will go along way towards securing his second win of the month.
Sleepers
Marc Leishman (+3,000)
Although Marc Leishman didn’t have the best of results at Augusta, his last two starts prior to The Masters shows plenty of promise that he can turn it back around this week. He won at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and followed that up with a T9 finish at the WGC Match Play.
Furthermore, Leishman’s form on the greens has often been sorely overlooked by fans and pundits alike. The Aussie actually has a better ranking in strokes gained: putting (third) this season than Henley before him.
Pat Perez (+3,500)
With top-20 finishes in his last three starts, Pat Perez is another name that you might want to consider. He’ll look to rediscover his fantastic self from the beginning of the season wherein he took home the top prize in Mayakoba last November and had a pair of top-five finishes in January.
Further boosting Perez’s chances of nabbing another victory is that he’s never been cut at the RBC Heritage in four lifetime starts, which includes a T6 finish from 2011 as his best outing in the tournament.
Long Shot
D.A. Points (+9,000)
Ironically, D.A. Points is one of the last golfers you could count on this week to net you some sweet cash points into your bankroll.
Let’s not be easily deceived by Points’ win at the Puerto Rico Open on March 26. The 40-year-old has no other top-20 finish this year apart from that win, and he’s also been cut in three of the seven other tournaments he’d partaken in this season. His struggles even date back to the previous season, having only a total of three top-25 finishes with no top-10s, all the while missing seven cuts in 18 starts.
Writer’s Prediction
Kuchar (-900) easily becomes a two-time RBC Heritage champion.
