Ryan Moore (+2,000)

If there’s one golfer primed for a breakthrough win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open this week, it’s got to be Ryan Moore. He has fared extremely well in this event, nabbing top-20 finishes in each of his last four appearances at TPC Scottsdale. Moore has been playing some solid golf of late as well, finishing in the top 25 in his last five PGA Tour starts dating back to last fall.

The Tacoma native is coming off a third-place showing at last month’s SBS Tournament of Champions. Key to Moore’s resurgence has been his superb play with the putter. He is 10th in the PGA Tour in strokes gained via putting with an impressive 1.113 clip. That will come in handy for Moore when tackling the delicate greens here at Scottsdale.

Tony Finau (+2,800)

Looking for a worthy sleeper this week? How about the red-hot Tony Finau? The 27-year-old has been in fine form of late, notching top-20 finishes in each of his last three starts, including a tie for fourth at last week’s Farmers Insurance Open. The Utah native should feel confident about his chances in Arizona this week — the site of his 22nd-place showing back in 2015.

Pat Perez (+5,000)

Another golfer who can definitely make a strong run at the Phoenix Open title is Pat Perez. The American has been playing some outstanding golf of late, finishing in the top-5 in three of his last four starts, including a thrilling victory at the OHL Classic in Mayakoba.

Key to Perez’s success this season has been his booming drive. He’s 36th in the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 300.9 yards per drive this season. That powerful swing will be a major weapon for Perez when tackling the long 7,266-yard, par-71 Scottsdale course.
