Paul Casey

Looking for a worthy sleeper this week? How about Paul Casey? The Englishman is starting to find his form, nabbing top-16 finishes in two of his last three starts, including a T11 at last month’s Honda Classic. Casey will fancy his chances of extending that excellent form this week as he has fared extremely well in this event in the past. Casey finished runner-up at the 2009 and 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, losing to Geoff Ogilvy and Ian Poulter in the finals, respectively. That experience in this seldom-used match play format will be a major weapon for Casey as he attempts to win his first PGA Tour title this year.

Charles Howell III

If there’s one golfer primed for a breakthrough win at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play tournament this week, it’s got to be Charles Howell III. The Augusta native has had plenty of close calls this year, finishing in the top-15 in seven of his last 10 starts. Key to Howell’s resurgence this season has been his stellar play from tee to green. He is 39th in the PGA Tour in strokes gained in that particular department with an impressive .748 average. That will prove crucial for Howell as he attempts to win a WGC event for the first time in his career.

Brooks Koepka

Another golfer who’s primed for a huge performance this week is Brooks Koepka. The American lost in last year’s quarterfinals to eventual champion Jason Day, 3&2. What makes Koepka such a threat in every golf tournament that he competes in is his tremendous length off the tee. He is sixth in the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 309.2 yards per drive this season. That powerful swing will come in handy for Koepka when tackling the long 7,169-yard, par-72 Austin course.
