Andrew Loupe and John Peterson |
Lucas Glover and Chez Reavie |
Dominic Bozzelli & J.T. Poston |
Rob Bolton is banking on former LSU roommates Andrew Loupe and John Peterson to wreak havoc in their home turf this week. Loupe has 11 top-25s in 75 career starts while Peterson has 15 top-25s in 78 Tour starts. In the team format, chemistry is king and Loupe and Peterson will be riding on their long-standing partnership to get the job done this week. Both golfers are seeking their first PGA Tour title.
Lucas Glover and Chez Reavie is another pairing that has caught the eye of Bolton. Glover is in the midst of a renaissance season, tying for seventh on the PGA TOUR in total driving, tying for third in greens in regulation, tying for eighth in proximity to the hole and tying for fourth in par-4 scoring. He’s also 10th in the PGA Tour strokes gained: tee-to-green. Glover has had some success at TPC Louisiana as well, going 8-for-9 with three top-10s. Reavie, on the other hand, is 14th on Tour in fairways hit, first in proximity, 25th in scrambling and tied for sixth in par-3 scoring. They are an interesting deep sleeper at +8,000.
Dominic Bozzelli and J.T. Poston may be newbies in the PGA Tour but they’re more than capable of springing a surprise this week. Bozzelli already has two top-5s this season (CareerBuilder Challenge and Valspar Championship) while Poston is 12-for-15 with an active consecutive cuts made streak at seven. They are pegged at +8,000 to win the Zurich Classic this week.
Heavy (Tim Keeney)

Harris English and Hudson Swafford |
Brooks Koepka and Chase Koepka |
Sung Kang and Si Woo Kim |
Looking for a worthy sleeper? How about University of Georgia teammates Hudson Swafford and Harris English? Swafford is in a rich vein of form, already nabbing three top-10s this season, including a victory at the CareerBuilder Challenge. English is no slouch either, winning the Franklin Templeton Shootout with Matt Kuchar last December. That counts for something as the Zurich Classic will be employing a team format this week. Their odds of winning this week are priced at +5,000.
Tim Keeney also favors the Koepka brothers to do well this week. Brooks is in fine form, finishing ninth at the WGC-Match Play, 11th at the Masters and second at the Valero Texas Open in his last three starts. He was first in strokes gained tee-to-green at TPC San Antonio last week. He will have to do the heavy lifting, however, at TPC Louisiana as his brother Chase is only ranked 1,460 in the world! They are pegged at +6,000 to shock the world this week.
Rounding out Keeney’s sleeper selection is the South Korean pairing of Sung Kang and Si Woo Kim. Kang has been on fire of late, finishing second at the Shell Houston Open, 11th at the RBC Heritage and sixth at last week’s Valero Texas Open. For this Asian duo to contend, though, Kim must need to pick up his play. He already has missed six cuts this season and has withdrawn four times. Kim did finish 22nd at the Texas Open so the signs are encouraging for this Korean pair. Their odds of winning the championship are listed at +6,000.
