Matthew Fitzpatrick (+5500)
Although Fitzpatrick has not won an event so far this season, he’s currently on a nice stretch. The Englishman has made the cut in each of his last five starts, finishing inside the top 10 in three of them, with the other two being a T11 at the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship at The Concession and a T18 in last week’s World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. Fitzpatrick is 5 of 6 at Augusta, with his best finish there being a solo seventh during the 2017 edition of the Masters Tournament.
Max Homa (+10000)
Homa is also riding a wave of momentum to Augusta. He’s gone 9 of 10 in his last 10 starts, a stretch that saw him score a win at the Genesis Invitational last February. Last week, he bounced back from a missed cut at THE PLAYERS Championship by getting a T18 at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. Homa only has one Masters Tournament appearance under his belt, missing the cut at Augusta last year. He seems to be a better player now, though, so perhaps a higher finish is in store for the 30-year-old pro.
Abraham Ancer (+8500)
Ancer has made the cut in all his last four starts. Last week, the Mexican had a T23 at the Valero Texas Open. So far this season, Ancer has two top 10s in 14 starts, and in last year’s Masters, he showed out well, finishing T13 with a 14 under 280 score. He led that tournament after 36 holes but stumbled with a 76 in the fourth round. Nevertheless, Ancer seems to be a worthy sleeper pick at his current odds of +8500.
Will one of the above sleepers actually pull of a surprise win, or will it go to one of the favorites? View our predictions for the 2021 PGA Masters to find out.
