The wait is finally over, as we are merely a few days away before tee time at Augusta National Golf Club for the 2016 installment of the Masters Tournament.
All of the PGA’s best and brightest stars will be present and in pursuit of the coveted green jacket, with Jordan Spieth also set to defend his title. all things considered, though, Spieth has not had a fantastic year. But can he still make it two-in-a-row at Augusta? Let’s find out below if the web’s pundits are still high on the former World No. 1.

By our recollection, Troy Klongerbo of U.S. Golf TV is one analyst who wasn’t shy at choosing sleepers over favorites as his predicted winner from past tournaments. He certainly didn’t go against convention for the The Masters, though, after picking Rory McIlroy to finally win his first green jacket.
Klongerbo went as far as stating that he made the decorated Irish lad his pick to win at Augusta right at the beginning of the year, claiming that it’s about time that he won the lone major that has eluded him his entire career – the same event that had him suffer through this epic blunder some five years ago.
And after suffering an ankle injury middle of last year, McIlroy’s prime form seems to be back this 2016. He has two top-5 finishes in his last three starts and a total of four top 20s in seven events for the current season. Throw in his personal-best of a solo fourth last year at Augusta, and you’re definitely hard-pressed to pass on McIlroy at +900 from completing the Career Grand Slam this weekend.

McIlroy got two nods from Golfweek’s seven-man panel, but the majority of the votes went to none other than Bubba Watson. Can the 37-year-old veteran pull off a San Francisco Giants-like run and win his third green jacket on yet another even-numbered year?
Sure, his finishes at Augusta outside of his 2012 and 2014 victories are rather atrocious, but at least he’s in tip-top shape as he enters play in Georgia this week. Watson has two huge wins and five top-15 finishes this campaign, including a stellar runner-up finish at Doral just a month ago.
So aside from the freaky superstition, Bubba has fantastic form of late to support his price of +1,200 at becoming just the ninth player in Masters history to win the tournament thrice.

You know that The Masters will be as unpredictable as ever this year when not one online expert went with Spieth at repeating as Augusta’s champion, and even more so that each of CBS Sports’ four analysts picked a different golfer to emerge from Augusta with a Masters title in hand.
Like the other sites we’ve covered here, senior editor Adam Silverstein chose McIlroy as his top pick to win this Sunday, technically making Wee-Mac the overall favorite at the event. Then again, we shouldn’t overlook writer Chip Kalland’s choice of another golfer that has rebounded nicely this year after a rough 2015 in Adam Scott.
It wasn’t that long ago that the Aussie donned the green jacket himself (2013), and his excellent form this season provides enough optimism that he’ll be fitted for another emerald suit this weekend. Although the current top-ranked golfer in the FedExCup race only has five top 10 finishes out of nine starts this season, a couple of those were his consecutive victories from the PGA National to Doral in March, plus another pair of runner-up finishes at Kuala Lumpur and Riviera.
With that in mind, Scott’s really as enticing as McIlroy and Watson before him, especially with that reasonable price of +1,000 that’s almost dead-even with Rory and Bubba’s own odds.
