Matt Kuchar

Matt Kuchar is a consistent fella. He has a balanced game that has given him respectable results despite not winning a PGA Tour event in over two years. He has finished in the top 25 four times in his last five starts. He tied for third at the PLAYERS Championship and the AT&T Byron Nelson, ninth at the RBC Heritage and 24th at the Masters Tournament.

Kuchar finished runner-up at the Dean & Deluca in 2013 and placed ninth in 2008. With some familiarity on this course, expect Kuchar (+1,000) to threaten the top dogs of the tournament.

Kevin Chappell

Kevin Chappell tees off at the PLAYERS Championship

Kevin Chappell (+2,000) is enjoying his best run in the PGA Tour to date. He has four top 10 finishes in his last six starts, including a pair of solo seconds. He’s No. 33 in the world rankings and fifth in FedEx Cup points. He’s been solid at the Colonial Country Club in his career, making the cut in four of his five starts the past two years. He has finished in the top 20 at this tournament in each of the past two years.

Chris Kirk

Don’t ever underestimate a defending champion. Chris Kirk shot a 12-under 268 to win last year’s tournament, which was then known as the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. He was impressive in the final two rounds, shooting a 65 in the third and a 66 in the fourth. He’s been pretty good at Colonial in his career with three other top 20 finishes.

Kirk (+2,500) stands a good chance of defending his title due to his recent streak. He’s been hot recently placing in the top 25 in four of his last five starts prior to his withdrawal at the PLAYERS Championship.
