2016 Bank of America 500 Sleeper Picks and Predictions
Joey Logano
The racing phenom is always a sleeper pick for this series. Every time you think he’s down and out, he’ll come right back up create believers in all of us. Logano ruled last year’s Chase and won this very race in 2015 to spark a terrific three-race win streak. Sleeping on Logano is never a good idea, you NASCAR heads! He may haunt your dreams with that checkered flag! The man did not collect all that “youngest to” tags for nothing.
Brad Keselowski
Why is no one showing “Bad Brad” some love? Yes, the race has Martin Truex Jr. written all over it, but remember that he’s the only Chaser to place inside the top five in all three races in the Round of 16. It is very puzzling that no one talks about Keselowski because he’s one of the few who can really give Truex a great run for his money.
Austin Dillon
Dillon is still gaining experience and he doesn’t have many great tracks yet. Don’t let that and his one top 10 finish in five trips fool you, though. His average finish is a good 12.8 in Charlotte Motor Speedway.
If you were to start believing on Dillon, this Charlotte race will be an excellent time to do so. There’s a reason why NASCAR legend Dale Jarrett is one of Dillon’s biggest supporters. There’s also a great reason why Dillon is constantly on a list of dark horses, like last year’s Windows 10 400 and the past Daytona 500 races.
