San Francisco Giants vs. New York Mets (8:00 PM ET)
Line: San Francisco Giants (-240) at New York Mets (+200); total: 6.0 – view all MLB lines
San Francisco is expecting positive results from its longtime ace in Madison Bumgarner. He finished the regular season with a 15-9 record and 2.74 ERA. His last start came in last Friday against the Dodgers, during which he delivered 7 1/3 innings of three-run ball to help the Giants get the 9-3 victory. Bumgarner also carries a perfect 4-0 slate and a 0.62 ERA across four starts at Citi Field. That’s very, very good news for Giants fans.
The Mets, meanwhile, want to see the wrath of Noah Syndergaard unleashed upon their National League rivals. Thor ended the regular season on a high note, giving up just one run along with 11 strikeouts in New York’s dominant 12-1 road win over the Marlins. He’s also pitched well through three career starts versus San Francisco, going 1-2 with a 3.66 ERA in that stretch.
Writer’s Prediction
Mets (+200) win it, 3-1.
Toronto Raptors vs. Los Angeles Clippers (10:30 PM ET)
Line: Toronto Raptors at Los Angeles Clippers – view all NBA Preseason lines
The Raps split their first two preseason games. They beat the new-look Warriors in the opener, and then followed it up with a loss to the Nuggets. DeMar DeRozan finished in double-digits in both games, scoring 11 and 15 points, respectively. He’ll look to continue his consistency versus a Clippers team that’s looking to move on from an embarrassing loss to Golden State last night.
Writer’s Prediction
Clips bounce back, 99-89.
