Lonzo Ball NBA Draft Projection and Predictions 2017; Little Brother LaMelo Ball commits to UCLA

The internet lit up last night after LaMelo Ball put up 92 points in his high school game. The UCLA commit is only 15 and has already started drawing comparisons to Steph Curry. We’ll take a closer look at little bro, in the meantime though let’s see how the bloodlines will fair in the 2017 NBA Draft. Lonzo Ball – current UCLA Bruin – is on the clock and it’s time to get the first mock draft of the year up and running.

Lonzo Ball Draft Status

Currently ranked #2 in DraftExpresses Top 100 Prospects, Lonzo has a bright future in the NBA. We’ll get to the rest of the family again momentarily, in the meantime though, let’s talk older brother. Ball is currently third on his team in PPG with 15.1, second in RPG with 5.8 and first in Assists by a landslide with 7.8 per night. He also leads the Pac-12 in assists and is fifth in three-point percentage at .430.

According to most mock drafts, the Lakers will end up with the second overall selection and they’re in need of a shooting guard to compliment D’Angelo Russell. Jordan Clarkson has filled the role well but insurance in the backcourt is always a good thing.

It’s expected the 6’6 freshman looks to be another one and done NCAA product – in school for one year and on to the show – and his stock is rising. This of course is also thanks in part to his little brother.

LaMelo Drops 92

When it comes to professional sports, everyone loves a good gene line. These guys have got it! The Ball family looks like they’ll be the next big thing in the NBA with Lonzo en route this summer and LaMelo entering the UCLA program in two years.

LaMelo dropped 92 points for his Chino Hills side on February 7, 2017 against Los Osos. He went 30 of 39 for two, seven of 22 for three and 11 of 14 from the line. Ball also tossed in seven assists and five rebounds. The kid is for real and we should absolutely keep an eye on the family name over the next few years.
