Some of the world’s top tennis players in the world will be warming up for the upcoming Wimbledon Championships as they compete for the prestigious 2017 Aegon Championships. Andy Murray has long dominated the event, but the World No. 1 has not quite been at his best this season. Can the Brit continue his mastery of this tournament or will another contender emerge victorious?

Andy Murray
It’s been a fairly disappointing season thus far for World No. 1 Andy Murray. The Brit has just one title this year and even with a strong semifinal showing at the French Open, he was not great during the clay court season. However, he’ll be back in his home country—and on his preferred grass court—starting with the Aegon Championships.
Not only is Murray the two-time defending champion of the tournament, but he’s also its record five-time winner. If there’s a tournament that can get Murray back to winning ways, it’s got to be the Queen’s Club Championships.
Milos Raonic
Next to Murray, World No. 6 Milos Raonic might have the best shot at taking home the title. Raonic has yet to win a title this season, but he’s a strong grass player and went 10-2 on the surface last season.
However, the Canadian will have to hope Murray crashes out early before they potentially meet in the final. Raonic lost the final of last season’s Aegon Championships, as well as the final of Wimbledon, to Murray. He currently has a nine-match losing skid to the World No. 1, which could be in his head if they do meet again.
Stan Wawrinka
Wawrinka had a fine end to the clay court season. After winning the title in Geneva, he reached the final of the French Open as he defeated the likes of Marin Cilic and Murray en route. However, he never stood a chance against Nadal.
The World No. 3 is not a strong grass court player, going just 27-24 in his career. But with the way he’s been playing recently, this might be the perfect tournament for him to pick up his first career title on the surface.
High-Value Sleeper
Gilles Mulller
Gilles Muller’s dream season continues. The 34-year-old won his second title of the season as he stormed to the Den Bosch title. He beat some strong players in Alexander Zverev and Ivo Karlovic in the final two rounds on his way to victory, and is now up to a No. 26 in the world, a new career high.
Muller’s been a strong grass court player for most of his career, but he’s been especially excellent since last year. He went 13-5 on grass in 2016, although he could only reach the quarterfinals at the Aegon Championships after losing in the final at Den Bosch. But after he went one step further at Den Bosch this year, don’t sleep on him doing the same at the Queen’s Club.
Long Shot
Adrian Mannarino
Mannarino is having another trying season on tour. While he’s had no problem getting past the qualifiers, he’s stumbled more often than not pretty early in the main draw of those tournaments. He’ll obviously be a big long shot to score his first ever tour title at the Aegon Championships, but he still shouldn’t be underestimated on grass. The Frenchman has gone 27-22 in his career on grass, which is by far his best surface.
Writer’s Prediction
Murray makes it three in a row at the Queen’s Club as he rolls to his second title of the season.
