The reigning Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia Eagles, are still winless through two games of the preseason, but they get a chance to barge in the win column, as they travel to First Energy Stadium to play the Cleveland Browns, who are also coming off a loss. The Browns are +950 to win the AFC North next season, and a win over Philly, even in preseason, will definitely boost their confidence.

Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (0-2 Preseason Record)
The Eagles losing to the Patriots in a quasi-Super Bowl rematch was not a concern for Philly as much as quarterback Nick Foles’ injury status is for the team. Foles hurt his shoulder during a 37-20 mauling at the hands of New England last week and though he said he doesn’t think it’s anything serious, his status for next game should be considered as up in the air. With Carson Wentz still on the shelf while recovering from a knee surgery, the Eagles will likely opt for Nate Sudfeld under center. Sudfeld exploded against the Pats, throwing for 312 yards with three touchdowns and an interception on 22-of-39 completions.
The Eagles are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 preseason games.
Betting on the Cleveland Browns (1-1 Preseason Record)
Cleveland’s win streak in the preseason has finally been snapped. That’s after the Browns picked up a 19-17 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills last Friday. The Browns ran the ball hard in that game, as Carlos Hyde and company rushed for 164 yards. Hyde had 64 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries, while rookie Nick Chubb had 53 rushing yards and a touchdown, too, on 11 attempts. If the Browns want to drill a hole on Philly’s defense, they could rely on their backfield once again to do the heavy lifting. Philly’s defense was gashed for 140 rushing yards last week by New England. Cleveland, however, would like to see a better outing from its quarterbacks, who combined for just 83 passing yards with zero touchdowns on 11-of-24 completions in the Buffalo game.
The under is 8-0 in the Browns’ last eight home preseason games.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland wins, 21-17.
