You’ve seen the favorites, but don’t ignore the sleepers and the long shots. Bryson Dechambeau championed that notion last year, when he won the Memorial Tournament as a long shot with a price as high of +5000 to win it. That was a pretty hefty pay day for those who bet accordingly. At the upcoming 2019 Memorial Tournament, the sleepers could make a noise once again and bettors would be wise to diversify their portfolio by wagering on one high value sleeper to pay major dividends. With that set, we present to you three sleepers you should be keeping an eye on.

Adam Scott (+2800)
It’s not just that he finished with a sold T8 at the PGA Championship which should inspire bettors to lay money on him. Scott has also been a putting machine this season, ranking 17th in the PGA TOUR in strokes gained around the green. That’s a key stat to remember for those who are targeting Scott, as Muirfield Village tends to favor players with that kind of game. One thing that sets back Scott is that he did not break into the top 30 in each of his last two appearances at the course. Scott, whose highest finish this season is a second at the Farmers Insurance Open way back in January, has four top 10s and seven top 25s in 11 starts this season.
Hideki Matsuyama (+2200)
Maybe things will start to be better again for Matsuyama, who had a T16 at the PGA Championship after four-straight starts without breaking into the top 20. While Matsuyama only has a single top 15 finish in his last seven appearances at Muirfield Village, he’s a former Memorial Tournament champion, so he’s proven he has what it takes to top the field at the course. Matsuyama’s best finish thus far on the season is a third place performance at the Farmers Insurance Open. He also had a T8 at the PLAYERS Championship and a T9 at the Genesis Open. Matsuyama is 23rd in driving distance (305.8) and 18th in scoring average (69.932).
Kevin Na (+4000)
One can’t discount a player heading into a new event after striking gold in the previous one. Kevin Na is riding such momentum after edging the rest of the competition at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Also, Na once had a runner-up finish at the Memorial Tournament bacl in 2014.
