For the first time in UFC history, the famed MMA outfit will bring their own brand of action down in Uruguay, where a rematch between Valentina Shevchenko and. Liz Carmouche will take place. Read on for more about this event, as we break down each of the top main card fights below.

Valentina Shevchenko (-1100) vs. Liz Carmouche (+650)
Women’s Flyweight
This will be the second time Shevchenko (17-3-0) and Carmouche (13-6-0) will face off with each other, though, you can say that this is also their first. After all, a lot has happened since Carmouche defeated Shevchenko via second-round knockout way back in 2010. Shevchenko enters the rematch with Carmouche as the champion and on a three-fight winning streak, defeating Jessica Eye via TKO last June. Carmouche, on the other hand, has won four of her last five fights, including a unanimous decision victory over Lucie Pudilova back in February. Shevchenko is a well-rounded fighter with five knockout wins and seven submission victories, but Carmouche is also a powerful striker with six knockout wins to go with a 2-2 submission record.
Luque is currently ranked 15th in the division, and he might climb up a few spots if he takes care of business in Uruguay. Luque, who is 15-6-1, is on an impressive five-fight unbeaten streak, knocking out all of his opponents during that stretch, three of which didn’t make it out of the first round. Luque has nine knockout wins to go with six submission victories. Perry, however, seem to have the power to make Luque think twice before attacking. Nicknamed Striker, Perry (13-4-0) has 11 wins by way of knockouts, though, he hasn’t scored a knockout victory in any of his last five fights.

Luiz Garagorri (-140) vs. Humberto Bandenay (+110)
Featherweight
Garagorri will have no trouble adjusting to the environment at UFC Fight Night 156. After all, he’ll be fighting in his home country. This will also be Garagorri ‘s first UFC fight after successful stints in other MMA organizations. In fact, Garagorri has yet to lose in his career, carrying a 12-0-0 overall MMA record. He has four knockout wins and six submission victories. Bandenay, meanwhile, will feel like he’s the enemy of the state when he enters the Octagon this Saturday. He is 14-6-0 with five knockout wins and a 6-4 submission record. He’ll be pressed to win this fight, as he’s coming off back-to-back losses to Gabriel Benitez and Austin Arnett, both fights occuring in 2018.
Oezdemir will look to break a three-fight winless streak when he takes on Latifi. In his most recent bout, Oezdemir suffered a split decision loss to Dominick Reyes. Prior to that, he got submitted by Antony Smith and was knocked out by Daniel Cormier in a title fight. Oezdemir has a four-inch height advantage over Latifi and a slight reach edge. Latifi is also coming off a loss, as he was on the wrong side of a unanimous decision in a fight versus Corey Anderson last December. Latifi can negate Oezdemir’s size advantage if he can take the fight to the ground, where he’s viewed a better fighter than Oezdemir.
Making his UFC debut this Saturday is the talented and promising Viera, who is undefeated thus far in his MMA career. Viera (5-0-0) has submitted his last two opponents via rear-naked chokes. Vieira could make it three in a row against Piechota (11-1-1), who lost in that same manner in his last fight against Gerald Meerschaert. Piechota is not going to make that easy for Vieira, though, as he has five KO wins and five submission victories.
