Super Start Batteries 400 Sleepers and Sleeper Picks and Predictions 2020

Austin Dillon was a long shot to win last Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, but he did anyway. It’s just another reason why you shouldn’t scoff at drivers with long odds on any given race. Speaking of which, we have three sleeper picks for the 2020 Super Start Batteries 400 at Kansas Speedway. Sure, you could go with a favorite but there’s a lot more dough to be made with one of the following if/when they pull off an upset. Just remember to register first!

Austin Dillon (+6,600)

Dillon bettors cashed in big time on his surprise win at the 2020 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 for his first victory of the season. Dillon already had it going even before that race, as he gathered momentum from his third-place finish at the All-Star Race. Over his last five points races starts, Dillon has not finished worse than 19th. Dillon is not a particularly great driver when he’s at Kansas Speedway, as he has an average finish of 24.14 in seven races there. His best finish there was a 14th at the 2017 GoBowling.com 400.

Ryan Newman (+12,500)

Newman can still consider this season a success whatever happens the rest of the way, as it’s almost a miracle that he’s still racing after surviving a horrific crash at the Daytona 500 last February. Newman had a decent showing in his most recent start, finishing 13th at the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. Newman will enter his car this Sunday looking to win at Kansas Speedway for the first time since 2003 when he won the Banquet 400 presented by ConAgra Foods.

Erik Jones (+2,500)

After finishing third at Pocono 350, Jones had letdown performances at Big Machine Hand Sanitizer at the Kentucky Speedway. However, it seems like he’s picked himself up again, as he finished sixth at the Texas Motor Speedway last Sunday. Jones has been great in his past several races at Kansas Speedway, as he has four top 7s in all his past four races there. His best start there was a third-place finish at the Digital Ally 400.
