TV Broadcast: ESPN

Betting on the Miami Heat (+3.5)

Regular Season Record: 48-28

The Heat are back to their winning ways. After looking out of sorts during a four-game losing skid, Miami regained its composure and pulled off a 123-100 home win versus the Sacramento Kings Monday night to start the week on the right foot. Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 27 points, while Bam Adebayo had a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds. The Heat will look to bring their hot shooting to Wednesday’s meeting with Boston, as Miami shot 54.4 percent from the field and went 19/40 from behind the arc against Sacramento. The tandem of Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson will also be relied upon to deliver some needed production from the bench, especially after combining for 35 points and nine 3-pointers in the Kings game.

The Heat, who are shooting 37.4 percent from deep this season, are 7-2-1 against the spread in their last 10 games away from South Beach.

Betting on the Boston Celtics (-3.5)

Regular Season Record: 47-29

The Celtics are coming off a 115-112 overtime road loss to the Toronto Raptors Monday night, which put an end to Boston’s six-game undefeated streak. Despite the loss, the Celtics are still viewed as one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. Plus, they were not at full strength in the Toronto game, with Jaylen Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford not active for that contest. Boston can be expected to have all three back on the floor, and that’s some bad news for Miami, which has lost twice already to the Celtics this season. Boston beat the Heat at home in November (95-78) and again at TD Garden in January (122-92). The Celtics have not lost back to back since January and are 11-2 straight up in games since March started. Boston’s defense has worked wonders this season, though the Celtics have just lost one key piece of the team to injury. Celtics big man Robert Williams is done for the year with a meniscus tear, so Horford and Daniel Theis will have to step up.

The Celtics are 5-4-1 against the spread in their last 10 home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Heat win, 107-104.
