Betting on the Miami Heat (+7.0)

Regular Season Record: 44-38

The Heat have failed to close out this series three times in a row. But history is still on the side of Miami, as there remain to be zero teams in the history of the NBA to come back and win a series despite trailing 0-3. Jimmy Butler and the Heat entered the conference finals round as a massive underdog and if you told them prior to the series that they’d go up 3-0 and lose three in a row, they would still take it. And it’s not like the Heat have not had success so far in the series in Beantown. Remember that Miami went up 2-0 after embarrassing the Celtics at TD Garden in Games 1 and 2. The Heat are also still shooting well from deep, having drilled 14 3-pointers on 30 attempts in Game 6.

Miami is 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 games after scoring at least 100 points in a prior contest.

Betting on the Boston Celtics (-7.0)

Regular Season Record: 57-25

One more win and the Celtics will become the first team ever in league history to erase a 0-3 series deficit in the playoffs and win it all in Game 7. Boston is simply showing the Heat why it is the No. 2 seed in the East. Whereas the Milwaukee Bucks, East’s No. 1 seed, failed to get it together, the Celtics have managed to do so before it’s too late, it seems. The Celtics will have a homecourt advantage in Game 7, and that should give the team a tremendous boost. Boston’s defense is also making plenty of damage of late. Although they let the Heat sink a lot of threes in Game 6, the Celtics still limited Miami to just 35.5 percent shooting from the floor.

The Over is 8-3 in the Celtics’ last 11 games against a team that had just scored more than 100 points in a prior contest.

Writer’s Prediction

The Celtics win, 111-101.
