FAVORITES
Jon Rahm (+1200)
The 27-year-old Spaniard is still looking for his first win of the season, but he should get there. The only question there is for Rahm with regards to that is when will Rahm taste victory? Rahm’s most recent start was a T9 at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. The closest he’s gotten this season to a victory was when he finished solo second at the Sentry Tournament of Champions back in January then he also hgad a T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Regardless of all that, what’s more important to consider is that Rahm has always been a force in Augusta. In fact, He has three top 10s in four career starts there, including a fourth at the 2018 edition of The Masters Tournament.
Brooks Koepka (+1600)
Although he missed the cut at the 2021 Masters Tournament, it’s going to be hard not to look at Koepka as a strong contender to win the Green Jacket. For one, he always shows up with a great game whenever it’s a major tournament. Koepka has four major wins under his belt: two PGA Championship titles and two US Open victories. At The Masters, his best finish was a T2 at the 2019 edition of the event, and he’s also got another T10 finish there in 2017 (seventh).
Cameron Smith (+1600)
Smith is having quite a season. In just seven starts, he’s been able to muster four top 10s which include two wins. He topped the field at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and again at THE PLAYERS Championship. Smith should a big threat to finish inside the top 10 again at the Augusta National Golf Club after a T2 at the 2020 Masters Tournament.
HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS
Webb Simpson (+15000)
The 36-year-old Simpson has rebounded from a missed cut at THE PLAYERS Championship earlier this month by making the cut in each of his next two starts. He went with a T48 at the Valspar Championship and a T35 at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. Perhaps even more telling of his chances at the 2022 Masters Tournament is the fact that he is 2 of 2 (both top 10s) in his two most recent appearances at the Augusta National Golf Club.
Tyrrell Hatton (+7500)
Hatton is on quite a roll of late. He is a perfect 4 of 4 in his past four PGA TOUR starts. He was a T9 late March at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. He nearly bagged a win earlier that month when he finished with a T2 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.
LONG SHOTS
Francesco Molinari (+17500)
The 39-year-old Molinari is 6 of 9 this season with a top 10, finishing with a T6 at The American Express last January. He is also 6 of 9 at the Augusta National Golf Club, including a T5 in 2019.
Harris English (+17500)
It’s been a while since English saw PGA TOUR action. That last time he teed off this season was way back in January at the Sony Open in Hawaii where he finished with just a T55. He had a T21 at the 2021 Masters Tournament.
Writer’s Prediction
Brooks Koepka wins the 2021 Masters Tournament.
