FAVORITES
Justin Thomas(+1200)
Thomas failed to go home from Augusta with a Green Jacket, but he did manage to finish with a T8, which means he remains perfect this season. Thomas has now made the cut in all of his first 10 starts of the 2021-22 PGA TOUR campaign and that includes six top 10s and two podium finishes. Speaking of perfect, he is also 3 of 3 at Harbour Town Links with two top 11s there.
Collin Morikawa (+1400)
Morikawa electrified the crowd at the 2022 Masters with a blistering 67 score in the final round of the tournament. Nevertheless, Morikawa is clearly in a groove, as he had a T9 in a previous start at the 2022 World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play.
Cameron Smith (+1600)
Smith stayed hot, with a T3 at the Masters Tournament, finishing with a 5-under 283. Prior to that, Smith won THE PLAYERS Championship and the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Overall this season, Smith has already cracked the top 10 five times with seven made cuts in eight starts. He is having quite a season and should be viewed as a consistent threat to compete for a win every Sunday – until he cools off.
HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS
Matt Kuchar (+6000)
Kuchar should be well-rested for this tournament, as he was not part of the 2022 Masters Tournament. But prior to that, he finished with a T2 at the 2022 Valero Texas Open. He is also 8 of 11 this season with a couple of top 10s and four top 25s.
Cameron Tringale (+10000)
Tringale has yet to find any meaningful performance at Harbour Town Golf Links, as he is only 0 of 3 there. However, the last time he teed off at the said location was in 2015. He’s become better since, especially this season in which eh has three top 10s to date.
LONG SHOTS
Chez Reavie (odds)
Ranked 221st in the world, Reavie is just 8 of 15 this season with just a single top 10 finish.
Henrik Stenson (odds)
Stenson isn’t very active this season, as he only has made seven starts. And he’s only made the cut twice, so confidence in him might be low, heading into the RBC Heritage.
Writer’s Prediction
Collin Morikawa wins the 2022 RBC Heritage.
