The defending champions stretched their unbeaten run to 21 games with a thrilling 112-109 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. It was a fantastic victory by the Warriors who extended their lead in the Pacific division to a whopping 10 games.

[sc:NBA240banner ]To no one’s surprise, it was Stephen Curry who stole the show for the Warriors on Saturday night. The reigning MVP led all scorers with 44 points, including going 9-of-15 from the three-point line. Curry is the only player to break 40 points with nine 3-pointers on the road since 2012-13. Curry has done it on four separate occasions.

The Warriors now set their sights on extending their regular season win streak to 26 games when they face the Brooklyn Nets tonight. One player who’s expected to step up big time this evening is Klay Thompson. He’s starting to find his range after a slow start this season, averaging 22.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in his last three games. He was superb last night in the game against Toronto, scoring 26 points including going 6-of-9 from beyond the arc.

The Warriors are 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10 road games.

Golden State Warriors vs Brooklyn Nets Predictions, Picks and Preview

The Brooklyn Nets had their two-game winning streak snapped on Friday night with a humiliating 108-91 loss to the New York Knicks. The Nets had no answer for Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis who combined for 47 huge points. It was a disappointing defeat for the Nets who lost for the first time to the Knicks in their last five meetings.

It won’t get any easier for the Nets later tonight as standing in their way are the red-hot Golden State Warriors. For Brooklyn to record a major upset, it needs to improve on its play on the defensive end. The Nets are 10th-worst in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing 102.3 points per game this season. The Knicks laid waste to the Nets’ defense right from the get-go, scoring a season-best 42 points in the first quarter.

They can ill afford such a poor start against the Warriors who lead the league in scoring, averaging 115.1 points per game this campaign. The Nets will need to rediscover the form that saw them allow 91 points or fewer in the three games that they played prior to the Knicks clash.

It’s crucial for Brooklyn as well that Jarrett Jack and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson contribute on the offensive end tonight. The Nets’ starting backcourt combined for just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting against New York on Friday. Jack and Hollis-Jefferson average 13.5 and 5.2 points per game respectively for the Nets this season.

The Nets are 4-0 SU and ATS in their last four home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Warriors (-10.5) roll past the Nets, 117-96.
