Betting on the Golden State Warriors (+3.0)

Regular Season Record: 44-38

The Warriors are fine. After making their fans worry because of a 117-1112 loss to Los Angeles in Game 1, the Warriors bludgeoned the Lakers in Game 2 at home on Thursday to the tune of a 127-100 score. With momentum now on the side of the defending champions, the Warriors will look to strike while they’re hot when they visit LA this weekend. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson must still be both smoking after combining for 50 points and hitting a combined 11 3-pointers on 16 attempts form deep in Game 2. Over their last 10 games, the Warriors have averaged 120.7 points, 48.7 rebounds, 30.4 assists, 8.2 steals, and 5.1 blocks, while knocking down 46.9 percent of their attempts from the field.

Betting on the Los Angeles Lakers (-3.0)

Regular Season Record: 43-39

Although they got shamed in Game 2 by the Warriors, the Lakers can still feel happy about managing to steal a game on the road before heading home for Games 3 and 4 of this series. The Lakers need Anthony Davis to be dominant again. He was a non-factor in Game 2, which was incredibly frustrating for the Lakers, especially after he put together a monster stat line in Game 1. The Lakers still trust Davis, obviously, and he normally drops an insane performance after a cold one. Over their last 10 games, the Lakers have averaged 113.9 points, 49.4 rebounds, 25.2 assists, 6.5 steals, and 8.1 blocks, while also shooting 46.5 percent from the field.

Writer’s Prediction

The Warriors win, 114-112.
