NFL Week 10 Betting Preview: The Match-Ups

*All odds as of November 5

Thursday, November 7

Washington Redskins (-2.5) at Minnesota Vikings (+2.5) 8:25 PM ET

adrian-peterson-minnesota-vikings-nfl-2013

A match-up between two of the biggest stars in the NFL will kick-start Week 10. Despite being 3-5 SU, the Redskins are still alive in the playoff race and are primed for another second-half surge this year. On the other hand, the Vikings are staring into a lost season, but the bright side is that Adrian Peterson got himself going with 140 yards on 25 carries with one touchdown last Sunday.

This Thursday carries an unusual match-up for bettors as the Road team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. However, the Underdog is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.

Bet now on Redskins vs. Vikings.

Sunday, November 10

Cincinnati Bengals (-1.5) at Baltimore Ravens (+1.5) 1 PM ET

A rebound game is one way to describe this  AFC North division showdown between the Bengals and the Ravens, as both are coming off gut-wrenching losses.

The Bengals have bounced back every time they lost a game, as they are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following an SU and ATS loss. Meanwhile, the Ravens will be motivated against the current leaders in their division. They are 6-0 ATS against teams with winning records.

Bet now on Bengals vs. Ravens.

Detroit Lions (0) at Chicago Bears (0) 1 PM ET

The Lions hope they haven’t fallen out of their groove after their bye week and the phenomenal performance from Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. They get the Bears this Sunday, and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. [sc:NFL240banner ]

After a huge win over the Packers, the Bears have another opportunity to take down a divisional foe. Also, the Bears get the benefit of having home field, as the Home team is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.

Bet now on Lions vs. Bears.

St. Louis Rams (+10) at Indianapolis Colts (-10) 1 PM ET

Life without Sam Bradford continues for the Rams, and it couldn’t come at a worse time as they face the “Cardiac” Colts, who are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games, filled with close games and upset wins.

Meanwhile, the Rams somehow still hang around against the good teams, as they are 8-2 ATS vs. teams with a winning record.

Bet now on Rams vs. Colts.

Seattle Seahawks (-6.5) at Atlanta Falcons (+6.5) 1 PM ET

The Seahawks are off to their best start in franchise history at 8-1 SU and it took them two ugly wins to preserve that record. Meanwhile in Atlanta, Matt Ryan has thrown seven interceptions in his last two games and that will only grow if he’s not careful against “The Legion of Doom,” Seattle’s formidable defensive backs.

But if he is careful with the ball, then the Falcons have a chance, as they are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games against Seattle.

Bet now on Seahawks vs. Falcons.

Oakland Raiders (+7) at New York Giants (-7) 1 PM ET

It’s the Raiders’ 3rd -ranked running game against the Giants’ 9th-ranked rushing defense. Which will be the key to a win?

The Raiders bounce back very well, as they 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. However, with the Giants as the favorites, the trend is on their side as the Favorite is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Bet now on Raiders vs. Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles (+1) at Green Bay Packers (-1) 1 PM ET

Nick Foles had a virtuoso performance last Sunday as the Eagles won on the road, improving to 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. Meanwhile, the Packers, despite being at 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, must now rely on back-up Seneca Wallace with Aaron Rodgers out until December with a broken collarbone.

Bet now on Eagles vs. Packers.

Jacksonville Jaguars (+13) at Tennessee Titans (-13) 1 PM ET

A divisional showdown in the AFC South where one team’s season is still riding momentum and the other is already flushed away. The Titans will look to improve their standing in the AFC Wildcard as they host the still-winless Jags.

The Jags hopefully used their bye week to start planning some wins, and they can start this Sunday, as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. However, the Titans have matched well against their conference mates as shown in their 5-1-1 ATS record in their last 7 vs. the AFC.

Bet now on Jaguars vs. Titans.

Buffalo Bills (+3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5) 1 PM ET

This is a classic pick-your-poison game, as Buffalo’s running game (ranked 6th) is as strong as the Pittsburgh’s passing game (8th), and Buffalo’s passing game (28th) is just as weak as Pittsburgh’s running game (28th).

The good news for the Bills is that EJ Manuel has been cleared to play and they could really use him as they are 3-1 ATS when he plays the entire game. However, the Steelers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Bet now on Bills vs. Steelers.

Carolina Panthers (+6.5) at San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) 4:05 PM ET

These are two NFC Wildcard teams with two things in common: they play a similar smashmouth style of football and they are both on winning streaks. The Panthers have a 4-0 ATS record in their last 4 games, while the 49ers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games.

Which team will have their momentum halted?

Bet now on Panthers vs. 49ers.

Houston Texans (+2.5) at Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) 4:25 PM ET

The Cardinals are in the playoff hunt, while the Texans have clearly stumbled out of the gate. Both teams possess good defense, with Arizona having an intimidating front seven, while the Texans have a pesky cast of defensive backs.

The total has gone OVER in 6 of Houston’s last 9 games, while the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Arizona’s last 7 games.

Bet now on Texans vs. Cardinals.

Denver Broncos (-7) at San Diego Chargers (+7) 4:25 PM ET

peyton-manning-denver-broncos-philip-rivers-san-diego-chargers-nfl-2013

It will be an AFC West showdown between two gunslingers as Peyton Manning and the Broncos face Philip Rivers and the Chargers. With two of the best aerial attacks in the game playing against questionable passing defenses, this one has the makings of a classic shootout.

A lot of people remembered the last time the Chargers hosted the Broncos. They were up 24-0, and then gave up 35 points in the 2nd half to lose the game. The loss spurred the many Philip Rivers memes, now infamous.

The Road team is the trendy pick for this game, at 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. However, the Chargers usually step it up a notch against good teams, as they are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Bet now on Broncos vs. Chargers.

Dallas Cowboys (+7) at New Orleans Saints (-7) 8:30 PM ET

Tony Romo vs. Drew Brees is a meeting fitting for Sunday Night Football. The passing game will be key as both quarterbacks are known prolific passers and both teams have excellent defensive backs – Dallas ranks 3rd in interceptions while New Orleans ranks 5th in passing yards-against.

The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games. However, the Saints are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

Bet now on Cowboys vs. Saints.

Monday, November 11

Miami Dolphins (-3) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) 8:30 PM ET

Off-the-field issues will be the story surrounding this Monday night game. But make no mistake — the Dolphins and the Buccaneers are going to bring it for the last game of Week 10.

The Fins may have saved their season with Cameron Wake’s game-winning sack, as they were reeling before the walk-off safety stopped their four-game skid and put them right back in the playoff hunt. On the other hand, the Bucs are still searching for their first win. Last Sunday was maybe their best chance, but unfortunately they blew away a 21-point lead and lost to the Seahawks.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Miami’s last 7 games, while the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Tampa Bay’s last 7 home games.

Bet now on Dolphins vs. Buccaneers.
