The Dallas Cowboys are winless to date in the preseason, and while these are merely dress rehearsals for the regular season, winning at least one game before the season opener will be a nice shot in the arm for Dallas, which is +1,400 to win the AFC. As for the Arizona Cardinals, they don’t have much of a hope to win the Super Bowl, but that doesn’t mean they’re not a must-watch football squad, as they have the up-and-coming Josh Rosen under center.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (2-0 Preseason Record)
Free agent signee Sam Bradford and rookie Josh Rosen both had solid performances in Week 2 of the preseason, when the Cardinals defeated the New Orleans Saints, 20-15. Rosen, this year’s 10th overall pick in the NFL Draft, connected on 10 of his 16 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown, while the veteran Bradford shined with a perfect 6-of-6 completions for 61 yards. The Saints barely had an answer to Arizona’s passing attack that also fed off the sterling and sturdy support of its offensive line with the Cardinals not allowing a single QB sack. On the flipside, Arizona generated four sacks. The team could repeat that pass rush success against Dallas, which allowed five quarterback takedowns last week against the Bengals.
Arizona is 3-1 ATS in its last four preseason games.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (0-2 Preseason Record)
The Cowboys are struggling in the preseason. That did not seem to be case for most of their Week 1’s match with the San Francisco 49ers until they blew a fourth-quarter lead and collapsed in a loss. Dallas followed that up with a 21-13 loss to Cincy at home. The team may be without rookie running back Bo Scarbrough to help them get out of the losing skid, as he injured his hip against Cincinnati. If that’s going to be the case, the pair of Rod Smith and Darius Jackson could share most of the load in the backfield this Sunday. It was also nice for the Cowboys to see Rico Gathers have a solid outing against Cincy, as the former Baylor basketball star-turned-footballer pulled down two catches out of three targets for 32 yards.
The over is 5-1 in the Cowboys’ last six home preseason games.
Writer’s Prediction
Arizona wins, 31-24.
