Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (TBA)
Arizona saved face on Sunday, managing to outlast the 49ers in a 23-20 win to improve the Cards’ record to 4-4-1. Up ahead for the Cardinals is a square off with the struggling Vikings, who should remain a tough customer for any opponent.
Still, Arizona could be catching the Vikings at the right time. Minnesota’s defense is showing signs of fatigue, probably because it’s been carrying the team for most of the season. The Vikings have allowed 22.25 points over their past four games and the Cardinals could do further damage on Minnesota’s defense this Sunday. Arizona boasts of a balanced offense that entered Week 10 10th in the league in total yards, 11th in passing yards, and 14th in rushing yards.
Over at the other side of the ball, the Cardinals will look to take away Sam Bradford and the Vikings’ passing attack. Arizona would be in a better place if Minnesota had to rely for yardage gains on its rushing game that ranks 31st in the NFL.
Arizona is 5-5 ATS in its last 10 road games.
Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (TBA)
It appears as though the Vikings can only go so far without Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson. After opening the season 5-0, Minnesota has now lost all of its past four games, including Sunday’s 26-20 road setback at the hands of the Redskins.
It’s a shame the Vikings have to lose in that game with Sam Bradford balling out there. Bradford passed for 307 yards and couple of touchdowns with one interception on 31 of 40 completions. Bradford and Stefon Diggs are virtually all the Vikings got on offense and the team will have to continue relying mostly on those two for yards. If the Vikings were to win on Sunday, it’ll be not because of Bradford. It’ll be because of their defense that needs a strong bounce-back performance after allowing Washington get 338 total yards. The Vikings entered Week 10 third in both scoring defense and total yards.
Harassing Arizona quarterback and making him uneasy in the pocket is going to be among the top priorities of Minnesota. Arizona doesn’t have a good quarterback protection, having allowed 25 sacks on the season—fifth most in the league. Conversely, the Vikings are among the best in getting to opposing quarterbacks with 23 sacks thus far this year.
Minnesota is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 home games.
