Their search for their first win of the season continues this coming Sunday in Santa Clara, where they will meet the San Francisco 49ers. Or will the 49ers extend Arizona’s woes for at least another week? Read on for a preview of this game below.
The Cardinals are now +100,000 to win the NFC, while the 49ers are +25,000 in that betting category.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (0-4)
Arizona is still winless after losing at home to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, 20-17. However, the Cardinals must be starting to feel good about their offense. With rookie Josh Rosen taking over the place of the ineffective Sam Bradford as the team’s starting quarterback, there’s been a palpable increase in enthusiasm and pep in the step in Arizona’s offense. With Rosen having his feet wet, he’ll come in more confident this weekend against a San Francisco defense that isn’t at all imposing. The Niners are allowing close to 30 points per game and over 276 passing yards per contest this season. The fact that the Niners will still be without cornerback Richard Sherman against the Cardinals should boost the confidence of Rosen, who had 180 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 15-of-27 completions. Cards star running back David Johnson is also expected to be a big factor for Arizona after rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.
The under is 5-2 in the Cardinals’ last seven road games.
Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (1-3)
Like the Cardinals, San Francisco’s offense has a young quarterback in C.J. Beathard orchestrating their offense following the season-ending injury of Jimmy Garoppolo. In a 29-27 home loss to the Los Angeles Charger last Sunday, Beathard had 298 passing yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions on 23-of-37 completions. Beathard was on the same page with tight end George Kittle, who erupted for 125 receiving yards and a touchdown on only six receptions. Beathard is going to need the backfield to provide ample production. The 49ers only had 76 rushing yards against the Chargers with running back Matt Breida accounting for 39 of those yards on nine carries. Breida and company can expect more success in their ground attack against the Cardinals, who are second worst in the league against the run. Arizona is surrendering 141.2 rushing yards per game thus far this season.
The over is 3-0 in the Niners’ last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Arizona wins, 25-22.
