Week 6 of NCAA Football was wild as upsets occurred left and right. With a different landscape in the college football rankings, teams are left scrambling for position in a muddled playoff run. Several pivotal conference matchups are on deck this week in the Power 5 conferences. Read on as we give you the best five college football games to watch (and bet on this weekend).

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Missouri Tigers (Saturday, October 11, 12:00 PM ET)

It’s always fun to watch Todd Gurley run (and hurdle) through defenders. Leading the SEC with 773 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, Gurley should be able to navigate through Missouri’s defense which allowed 241 yards in a loss to Indiana on September 2.
[sc:NCAA240banner ]Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk knows when to turn it up. Down 20-7 in the fourth quarter, Mauk made clutch passes of 41 and 26 yards to Bud Sasser and Wesley Leftwich which setup a touchdown run from running back Russel Hansbrough. Mauk led another scoring drive on the Tigers’ next possession to win the game. The Missouri QB should challenge Georgia’s pass defense which isn’t particularly spectacular in the SEC. Georgia have allowed 223 passing yards per game.
Writer’s prediction: Behind another strong performance from Gurley, the Bulldogs cover and take a hard-fought road game.
Auburn Tigers vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs (Saturday, October 11, 3:30 PM ET)

It’s going to be a battle of dual-threat quarterbacks as the Auburn Tigers head to Mississippi State on Saturday. Tigers quarterback Nick Marshall passed for 207 yards with two touchdowns against then-No. 15 LSU in a 41-7 rout. Marshall was just as devastating with his legs running for a season-high 119 yards with two more scores. Still, he has now thrown at least two TDs in three-consecutive games, and should be able to exploit Mississippi State’s pass defense which allows 328.2 passing yards per game.
Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott was spectacular against ranked teams LSU and Texas A&M in back-to-back games. Prescott totalled 718 yards with eight scores split between passing and running. However, Auburn’s defense has proven to be tough to crack. The Tigers have allowed 14.4 points per game (9th in the nation) and 306.6 total yards per game (14th). Still, expect Prescott to put up quite a fight.
Writer’s prediction: The Tigers cover in a closely-contested game.
TCU Horned Frogs vs. Baylor Bears (Saturday, October 11, 3:30 PM ET)

In a battle of the last undefeated teams in the Big 12, the TCU Horned Frogs visit the Baylor Bears on Saturday. The Horned Frogs possess one of the nation’s top passing defenses which limits opponents to 172.5 yards per game. They should be able to keep Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty quiet. Petty struggled against Texas last week as he went 7-for-22 for 11 yards.
Nevertheless, the Bears will have their trusty running game to bail them out should Petty continue to struggle. Running back Shock Linwood made up for Petty’s disappointing performance against Texas as he rushed for 148 yards and a score on 28 carries.
Writer’s prediction: The Bears win, but the Horned Frogs keep it close enough to cover.
Oregon Ducks vs. UCLA Bruins (Saturday, October 11, 3:30 PM ET)

Then the No. 2 and No. 8 teams, the Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins were both upset last week. They’re set to put their seasons back on track in a pivotal Pac-12 matchup. Oregon’s Marcus Mariota was banged up as an inexperienced offensive line allowed five sacks on their quarterback. Still, he threw 20-for-32 and 276 yards with two touchdowns. If his O-line can buy him enough time, then Mariota can exploit UCLA’s pass defense which allows 271 yards per game.
UCLA’s Brett Hundley made a couple of big plays against a resilient Utah side. Hundley threw touchdown passes of 93 and 40 yards to Devin Fuller and Eldridge Massington respectively in an attempt for a comeback. However, he did suffer 10 sacks on the night, something the Ducks’ pass rushers can exploit after their four-sack performance against Arizona.
Writer’s prediction: Oregon’s Marcus Mariota outguns the Bruins’ Brett Hundley for a win.
Ole Miss Rebels vs. Texas A&M Aggies (Saturday, October 11, 9:00 PM ET)

The Ole Miss Rebels began their conference play with a bang as they defeated the then-No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide 23-17. Bo Wallace was the hero for the match as he threw two touchdown passes in the last six minutes of the game to upset the Tide. The Rebels are now 5-0 SU/ATS in the season. They have a tough challenge next when they go against one of the nation’s best offensive teams in Texas A&M.
Texas A&M are in the top five in passing yards per game (395.2) and points per game (47.8) thanks in large part to an excellent quarterback in Kenny Hill. The sophomore QB ranks third in the nation with 2,110 passing yards. Yet, he’ll have quite a challenge against Ole Miss’ pass defense which has limited opponents to just 152.4 yards. Still, the Rebels are yet to face a quarterback of Hill’s calibre this season.
Writer’s prediction: The Aggies fire on all cylinders to hand the Rebels their first loss. Take Texas A&M to cover the spread.
