New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls (8:00 PM ET)

Line: New York Knicks (+6.5) at Chicago Bulls (-6.5); total: 209.5 – view all NBA lines

Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah are set to make their first trip to the United Center as visiting players. However, they will be desperate to leave with a win, as their Knicks have started just 1-3 through their first four games this season. They’ve lost by double-figures in their last two games against the Pistons and Rockets. Rose, though, has been putting up decent numbers thus far, averaging 16 points on 44 percent shooting.

As for the Bulls, they will look to bounce back after losing their first game of the season on the road against the Celtics last time out. Prior to that loss, they had defeated their previous two opponents – the Pacers and Nets – by 17 and 30 points, respectively. Jimmy Butler is having a strong start to the season, averaging 21 points and 7 rebounds.

Writer’s Prediction

Butler and co. spoil Rose and Noah’s homecoming as the Bulls (-6.5) get the 108-98 win.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers (10:30 PM ET)

Line: Golden State Warriors (-11) at Los Angeles Lakers (+11); total 227.0 – view all NBA lines

After a slow start to the season, the Golden State Warriors are finally figuring things out. They’ve won four games in a row and have blown out their last two opponents – the Portland Trail Blazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder – by 20-plus points. Kevin Durant haunted his former team as he dropped a game-high 39 points on 7-of-11 from 3-point range.

The Warriors will look to make it five wins in a row against (former Warriors assistant) Luke Walton’s Los Angeles Lakers, who recently snapped a three-game skid with a 123-116 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The Lakers are 5-0 ATS at home dating back to last season, but are just 2-8 (4-6 ATS) in their last 10 home games against the Warriors.

Writer’s Prediction

The Warriors extend their win streak with a 112-100 win over the Lakers.
